Easy to install and very good phone app
Strong, sturdy, and well made. Easy to install – but donât rely on the instructions provided as theyâre nonsense. I used a YouTube video to guide me through.Connects to wifi easily (just donât use 5G connection, it must only be 2.4G). Good, responsive phone app. Good interface.Nice design with clear backlit screen.Great value for money. You donât need to be an electrician to install. Works well with my 10+ year old underfloor heating.

Doesnât work with WiFi
A nice thermostat with great functionality but will not connect to WiFi.I have many smart devices all using various apps and the apps this device should work with.Some smart WiFi plugs are fiddly to connect switching modes to ensure fast pulse etc and Iâve tried several resets and app modes without success.The instructions recommend 2 different apps both made by Tuya. Both fail.The thermostat itself works and responds quickly to button presses. Screen is clear and bright so I would love to give this a5 star rating, but itâs using generic apps thatâs stent reliable.**UPDATE HOW TO CONNECT**I managed to connect with the Tuya App.Follow these steps in the Tuya App:1. When adding a device select the scan device QR code option.2. Scan the QR code in the manual for the App.3. Set the thermostat to slow flashing WiFi icon. (Hold up and down for 3 seconds)4. Confirm in app itâs flashing fast until you get to the next screen where you can select slow flash.

Works well
This unit is quite well built. It’s not for newbies as the instructions are naff to be honest. If you’ve installed one of these or something similar, then you’ll not have any issues, but if this is your first time and and you’re depending on good instructions to guide you through the installation and setting up onto your mobile via the smart app, then I would strongly suggest looking around and you’ll only curse yourself when you get stuck.The build quality and interface is easy to use as well as installation. It’s got good set of features, much more via the app and like most apps, they get updated with new versions all the time to improve and this is where this is much better than those that don’t connect via wi-fi.Also, if this is a new installation, I would spend quality time installing the temp sensor in the perfect location and also in a way that you can replace it with minimal effort as they have a tendency to go faulty, not just this, but they do generally and it’s a pain trying to replace or then having to lift the flooring to install a new one.Final point, connecting to wifi was easy, but turn 5g off and only leave 2.4g on. You can switch 5g back on in your router once connected.Hope this helps.
