Surprisingly good but why?
There’s nothing technically wrong with this. The design is stylish and the build quality is pretty decent. Given the price I was expecting something cheap and flimsy but I’m pleasantly surprised. I mean, don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t want to drop it… but in general very good for this price range. The menus are thoughtfully laid out and logical. The screen is small though and not the highest resolution but does the job. I did find it a little harder to see in very bright sunlight so that is something to consider. The video and images are fine. Not mind blowing but fine. Decent quality I would say.The thing is though why does this exist and who is it aimed at? I mean, even mid range phones now are capable of higher resolution than this is capable of. The zoom is digital. It does have a higher zoom than phones in general but being digital the more you zoom the more the quality decreases. 16 times zoom will look absolutely horrible on a larger screen. But sure if you don’t mind that it does give you a little more creative options that a phone wouldn’t and is steady to hold, I guess. But I am really struggling to find a reason to carry this around when I already have a phone that is capable of much higher resolution and quality than this. I’m rating it four stars because of the surprisingly good quality in performance and build. However, me personally, not sure I would use it.

I have to say, this is a refreshing change to have a proper video camera with SD storage, to allow far more creativity and care, instead of just pointing a phone at various scenes all the time. This so takes me back to perhaps 10 or more years ago, when proper video cameras were still in regular use.At the time of writing, this camera from “Yunir” is available in Black, Red, White.I thought, the White one looks really nice and styish, and ‘Joking apart’, if I had bought the Black or Red version, you can bet all my finger marks would show on the body of the camera, but that’s probably just me!This captures at 1080p, uses MP4 video and AAC audio, with screen size of 2.4 inches, and supports an external microphone too, if you want to be really creative.There are also many features too, having read the makers data, 16 x digital zoom, a front “fill” light, selfies, anti shake, time watermarking, video pause too (which is really useful), a 1/4 inch threaded hole, convenient for an external tripod, a USB port so that I use can connect to a computer to view photos and videos.I was extremely impressed with the available settings too, which I found by going through the menu.For still photos, image settings range are:4032×4032 (16 mpx), 4032×3024, 4032x25203800x2160, 3800x18002560x1440, 1920×1080, 1280x720and other options I found for images are: Single Shot, Selfie (Timer) 2s, 10s and Burst Mode.As the camers allows up to a 32GB card, I settled for the best quality 4032 x 4032 (16mpx).For videos, video settings range are:1920×1080 (1080P), 1280×720, 640x480I used the best quality here, 1920×1080, although the other ranges are good for example uploading perhaps to social media or sending a video via email etc.I also like the LIGHT button at the back of the camera, which gives off a good light when taking photos/videos in the dark. There is a good quality mic included at the front of the camera too, and at the top of the camera is the digital zoom in the ranges 1x 2x 4x 8x 16xThere are other options out of many, one button will toggle between VIDEO, PHOTOS or MIC ONLY, and there is the usual view / delete videos / images button.I have included quite a few of my own images to show just how good this camera is, and at one amazing price too.
