Works well at cooling laptop, pretty heavy, but the fans don’t make to much noise

Restarted laptop to start measurements with fan on and saw lower minimum Core temp (36 vs 47° C) and lower CPU package temp (49 vs 57°C) and no Core thermal throttling limit hits. This laptop usually hits that cap just from loading into Windows 11. Did not expect that.Because of the overall feel of casing and the plastic parts, I did not expect this fan to work well. I must say – the product works well and the results were impressive.Massive differences in max temps under load. Laptop did hit throttle cap when first spooling up under initial heavy load but reduced temps by 8° easily on the lowest height setting. Might work better if you raise it up more. I was so impressed I tried to stress test it and push it even harder and was able to get the laptop to 91 degrees max Core temp, down from high of 96.It is also very quiet. You can hear it if computer fans are off or low but it does not sound like noise, just a gentle breeze kind of sound. If laptop is under heavy load, you will only hear the laptop’s fans. Pretty impressive. Makes a big difference and will prevent premature wear on your laptop.The only downside is in the edges of the perforated metal covering. Metal grate might catch clothing or nick fingers, one of the edges on the one I received was surprisingly sharp. Definitely must check before using.

got my son a laptop an noticed that with it sitting on his desk it was getting very warm. so thought a stand to lift it up to get air flow would be a good idea. this works perfect.

I have tried so many laptop coolers from Amazon, almost all have the same issue, the fan motors make a clicking noise that is louder than the fan noise. What is the point of big quiet fans if the motors are so cheap they make an audible clicking noise?

I was a little concerned by how lightweight and cheap this felt right out of the box, but it really does pack a lot of fan power. The air movement increase is exceptional without the pad being very loud. It does light up when on, which makes it easy to always remember to fully shut it off using the turn dial at the back of the unit. The adjustable angle is a great feature and feels sturdy. After using this regularly for several weeks now I can honestly say I am reasonably impressed by this small, lightweight unit.
