The Best LED Strip Controller
The only smart LED strip controller you will ever need. We have tried and tested many of these devices over the years, but this one beats all of them. The fact that it works with every LED strip type (except pixel strip which requires a specialised controller) is already enough to make it superior.Being able to select which mode the controller uses is a nice feature, as it only displays the attributes of the mode you have selected as to not cause confusion. We use this device in Home Assistant, and setting the mode to RBG will only display the RGB controls within Home Assistant, but if we change the mode to CCT, it will only show colour temperature controls instead. This means you don’t have to worry about compatibility. Pair this with the fact you can install the controller without tools thanks to the clip style connectors, and you’ve got yourself a well built product that is easy to use.Overall, this is a high quality product that I would recommend to everyone looking into smart LED strip.

Diamond in the rough!
I’ve tried a lot of different ZigBee controllers, together with a Raspberry Pi, Conbee II, Deconz setup. So far they’ve all had issues: low power, buggy zigbee operation, etc. The only decent controllers I’ve found previously are:- Philips Hue lightstrip controller. But that only goes up to 24W, only supports RGBWW, turns on with on power loss/restore, awkward proprietary terminals and needs you to buy a lightstrip that you may not want.- Sowilo design controller. Perfect, but issues with supply at the moment. This one has, so far, worked great and I particularly like:- Configurable power recovery mode, PWM frequency (up to 8kHz), colour mode, etc- Supports up to about 400W- Convenient lever nut connectors and wiring instructions- Convenient mounting holesI didn’t hear any noise from the unit, as mentioned in another review, when using with 24VDC and a good amount of power.Only improvements would be:- Support for dual CCT devices- Slightly smoother change in brightness at low levels (though this may be due to using 8khz PWM)- Up to 20khz PWM freq- Slightly smaller device

Really nice, super flexible
Works really well, and happily works with Hue, OpenHab, HA etc. It’s a decent bit of kit and easy to use (the clips are really easy compared to screw terminals). I really like that there’s a barrel jack and a clipped power input, so you can temporarily just use a “wall wart” power supply on the desk, and a proper wired in the field.I’ve probably got some more strips to do – these are a bit expensive, but they work really nicely and will definitely be a consideration for any future work.

Hit and miss
Works ok but you have to tinker a bit to make it function with smart things. First you need to install the proprietary drivers on your hub from the candeo support website (it’s not written anywhere in the instructions). Then only the RBG-CCT mode works. As soon as you press the opt button to change mode, the device disconnects from the hub and there is no way to make it work again unless you do a factory reset, which also resets the operation mode. So basically 5 in 1 but you can only use the default mode. Works for me but may be a downside for others.

Excellent!
Initially seems expensive, but its a ready made solution and literally plug and play. All in a neat little box. Saves all the faff of purchasing and flashing your esp32s, getting a suitable enclosure, and adding the connection hardware. Ace!
