Easy smart plug
First of all, the setup process for this smart plug is very straightforward and easy to follow. All you need to do is download the Meross app and connect the smart plug to your home Wi-Fi network. Once you have it set up, you can control the plug with your voice through Alexa, or with the Meross app on your smartphone. One thing that I really like about this smart plug is that it’s compact and doesn’t block the other outlet when it’s plugged in. This is a common problem with some larger smart plugs, but the Meross 13A WiFi Smart Plug Mini is small enough to allow you to use the other outlet at the same time.In terms of performance, I found that the smart plug worked very reliably and responded quickly to commands through Alexa or the Meross app. I also appreciated the fact that you can set schedules and timers for the plug, which is great for things like turning on a lamp at a specific time each day.Overall, I would highly recommend the Meross 13A WiFi Smart Plug Mini to anyone who is looking for an affordable and easy-to-use smart plug that works with Alexa. It’s a reliable and convenient way to control your appliances and devices remotely, and the compact design is a big plus.

Great little smart plug
Purchased these to replace 2 brand new Tapo’s that kept disconnecting from Google Assistant. Apparently a known issue, and has been for the past 3 years. So they’ve gone straight back to Amazon!Super easy to set up, and the link to Google has, so far, been flawless.

Good Value
Most of the light fittings in my home are controlled by Smartthings. My socket receivers are a mixture of Smartthings, Wemo and Lidl The Wemo predating the Smartthings and the Lidl as they are cheap and work OK with Smarthings. I thought I would try these as they claimed Smartthings compatibility and I liked the size compared with the huge Wemo switches that block adjacent sockets.First impression was a very neat switch. No problem with blocking other sockets and rated at 13 amp so usable for anything. Then I found they were more awkward to set up than the Smartthings and Lidl. Both of these makes pair directly with the Smartthings hub via the Smarthings app but the Meross needs to be paired first with its own app (yet another app needed on the phone) and then they can be linked to Smartthings, The pairing process is similar to Wemo.1 Plug the socket in, run the app and press +2 Exit the app and change the phone wi fi to the sockets wifi.3. Open the app again and the socket pairs with the app after a lot of LED flashing on the socket.4. Change the phone wifi back to the normal router.5. Open the Smartthings app and add the socket.Once all the above is done the sockets seem to work well and it is not necessary to keep the Meross app open on the phone for Smartthings to work with them., They also automatically get picked up by AlexaConclusion is that they are really good value sockets that seem well made and are very small and neat. If using the Meross app they are great but maybe if using Smarthings there are other third party sockets that are easier to install.

Easy to use smart plugs
Got the Meross smart plugs and are great and easy to use, the install is a little finicky but once you have connected it to the app itรขยยs easy to use all the time. The app is nice and simple to use too it brings you straight to the turn plugs on and off screen straight away. we have the installed for lights and we can activate them at home or away too, perfect for when we come home and need some extra light when walking into the house. We did try them on the touch on lamps but they didn’t work, so only works for those lights that have a traditional switch which have to be left in the on position as well as the wall plugs.overall, a great product and would certain be getting some more in the future should we want more.

Nice once you install
These are a bit temperamental when installing. I installed the four in succession and it was slightly different for each one. Sometimes I would have to reset the plug, sometimes not.Your Wi-Fi needs to support 2.4 GHz. You don’t have to disable 5GHz during setup, if you have that too.The Meross app is easy to use. I like that you can schedule on/off times based on sunrise and sunset. You can even set an offset, for example, switch on every day at sunset minus one hour. After setting up the plugs in the Meross app (I used the Android version), you can add the plugs to Google Home (from the Home app). You can then say to your Google speakers: “Hey Google, switch on bedroom light”, “Hey Google, switch on Hi-Fi”, etc. After adding the plugs to Google Home, you don’t need to use the Meross app again unless you want to change something about the setup, eg add or change the schedule for a plug.I set these up four months ago and they have worked flawlessly. These are my first smart plugs and so far I’m impressed.
