Easy to install. Good for Xmas/garden lights.
This is a great smart plug. I needed a double outdoor smart plug to operate my deck water fountain and attached lights. It turns on and off automatically and I donât have to worry about shutting anything off. I can have Alexa turn on and off the water fountain and lights independently. It is easy to use, and there are instructions on how to connect with your phone and internet. You can set a schedule as I mentioned above, and you can enjoy your decorations or whatever you are using it for without having to constantly worry whether itâs on or off. It is very convenient. Iâve used it for nearly a month now without any issues. Itâs heavy duty and can handle over 3KW and hence can support many heavy duty equipment.This is a sturdy, easy to use unit with reliable Alexa integration. Setup is simple, thanks to well written instructions and good app support. It supports multiple apps (HBN Smart / Smart Life / Tuya Smart App). The app is great. It does a good job of guiding the setup process. Once set up, the app has some cool features that are sometimes overlooked: e.g. a countdown timer so that the outlet will automatically turn off after X minutes.Alexa integration works flawlessly and the WIFI range seems good. Alexa commands are carried out reliably and with no more than a couple seconds delay. Alexa routines also work well. Each plug can be controlled independently.The main issue I found is its water tightness. Itâs IP44 rated. That means it can handle splashes, but it’s not designed to withstand being submerged in water or exposed to heavy rain. Itâs suitable for fitting where the fixture is sheltered from direct heavy rain or water jets, such as under eaves or on covered balconies. The short length of the plug cable is also an issue. However, if you search around you will find most or all similar fixtures are of short cable length. There could be some reason, I donât know.In summary this is a very useful smart plug for controlling outside fixtures, especially useful in the winter.

on paper sounds great but confusing implementation.
I was very excited to be offered a smart outdoor plug that is wifi controllable as it sounds perfect for setting up some permanent lights and stuff in our garden with proper control from inside the house.however on opening the box and getting a proper look at it it’s pretty confusing what they were going for here.it’s an extension cord with a regular plug which will fit into a weatherproof outside socket but it has an impossibly short length of cable so would need to just hang below it and any items plugged into it are protected from the elements by a small spring mounted plastic flap. in short, i would never use this outside without enclosing it in a weatherproof junction box which kind of just makes it a normal extension cord for all intents and purposes.however, disappointing as that is if you plan on using it outdoors. there’s still plenty of room for a decent wi fi controllable double socket for indoor use. so i’ve put it to work in my summerhouse instead and for this purpose it’s actually not bad.setup and control through the app works fine.the question is. does it do anything indoors that i can’t achieve with normal single socket smart plugs and sadly the answer is no and for the price those are much better value for money.sadly a product with a bit of an identity crisis, if it was viable for it’s intended outdoor purpose it would be worthy of it’s price tag but sadly it just isn’t up to it.

Great quality build, nice and strong and robust, connects to Alexa easily however the cable could be longer. Ok to plug in but not fully waterproof if plugs are plugged in, only waterproof if no plugs are plugged in.

This could have been a more useful device, a Wifi enabled controller for outdoor plugs would be so useful in the garden and a number of powered appliances. However I found the short 13A UK plug cable to be very limiting, needing a second training cable to give any effective use and this combined with yet another app to download, just to make it compatible with alexa/other apps. It also has limited water resistance for an “outdoor” electrical power supply which further degrades the effectiveness for outdoor use.The need for smart appliance makers to do a dumb thing and use multiple apps in order to connect with Alexa or Google home etc is becoming silly- I have 6 apps jut to control the gadgets all taking up space on the phone. Why can’t they have the same compatibility do what Bluetooth did?I tried to connect, via the smart app- it went ok and the app has a number of useful features beyond simply on/off- but for the effort, the utility of such a short lead extension cable with timed activation and on/off is a little dampener to buying at a relatively high cost [26 gbp] for an exterior extension cable. Additionally, the device wasn’t blue/black as indicated but a uniform black.
