I think this is a really good portable speaker. In fact, I am surprised that such a quality product can be fairly inexpensive. Setting it up is a breeze: you turn it on, which automatically puts the speaker into pairing mode, and you simply pair your device with it. In my case, it was an Android mobile phone. The sound clarity is very good, the bass is good, and there are no issues whatsoever. The speaker can play music pretty loudly, and when you bring the volume up, the sound quality does not suffer from distortions or other unexpected negative effects.I played a summer hits playlist on it for 90 minutes, and the remaining battery on the speaker, as indicated by my mobile phone, was the same as when I started playing the music (at 80%). I am not sure what to make of this, but surely the battery got drained at least a bit by using it for 90 minutes.Overall, I am really happy with the quality of the build, connectivity, and sound quality, and I would recommend this 100%.

Decent sound
At the time of this review, we can get this portable Bluetooth speaker for around £18Out of the box you can see on the side there is an on/ off button, as soon as you switch it on itâs entered into its âpairing modeâ to connect to your chosen smart device.I search the Bluetooth settings on my phone and it showed up as â J8 â and as soon as I clicked on that it connected, and I was immediately able to stream music. In the attached video, Iâve got this little speaker playing outside, where I had just opened the package after delivery.The sound quality is not bad you can see each end pulsing away and there is actually customers colour changin LEDâs going on there as well, it is given the impression that there is a super bass quality to it I would say the sound is still quite light and slightly is on the tinny side outdoorsFor the money, I still think it represents very good value and certainly in a small room the sound quality is very good.You have a choice of blue tooth or â line inâ (cable supplied) or there is a micro sd card slotIf you think about buying it, and youâre in the market for a reasonably inexpensive Bluetooth speaker I donât think youâre going too far wrong at this price if you buy this oneI hope the attached video and this review is helpful

Portable, powerful, playful, priced well
For the money, this is quite a decent little speaker. Itâs got a fantastic volume, perfect for garden drinks or picnics, and it lasts ages on a single charge. It comes with instructions, a Micro USB charging cable and an audio connector cable.Itâs bigger than I expectedâdefinitely not pocket-sizedâbut that just means it packs a bit more power. Connecting it to my phone via Bluetooth was very straightforward, though Iâve yet to try the SD card option (does anyone still use those?).The sound quality is decent, with a solid if unspectacular amount of bass, but more than adequate for casual listening. The colourful lights on each end aren’t really my thing, but you can turn them off, which is handy. Itâs also waterproof, so no worries if it gets splashed.All in all, itâs a solid, well-made portable speaker and I’d recommend it.

Bigger & more powerful than the images/title suggest
First impression of this speaker is that it was much bigger than I expected. I know the measurements are clearly shown in one of the images, but the description of “mini” made me imagine something pocket-sized. This isn’t a criticism, but worth being aware and making sure you’re looking for something with a bit more size – and the bit more power/volume you’ll get from something larger. It’s still compact and certainly something you could take out with you, but not in most pockets!It connected seamlessly with my phone via the audio cable and Bluetooth and plays directly from an SD card without any problem.The volume is decent- not very loud, but more than enough for my purposes. It’s designed to sit on one end (with indents in the rim to allow sound to emanate from beneath), and I’m guessing the sound bouncing from a surface is intended to boost sound, especially the bass, as I’ve come across other speakers that do this.In terms of sound quality, it seems decent, though I’d say it’s a little weak on the bass, but there is a limit to what you can expect from a portable speaker. I’m no audiophile, so I’m perfectly satisfied with the sound quality and volume.It’s showerproof, so there’s some peace of mind if using outdoors or in wet areas in the house.The lights are nice – not something I particularly care much about, but lend a party atmosphere.Given its size, it’s not something I’d pop in my bag in case I wanted it – it will likely live in the bathroom most of the time, and venture out with us on car camping trips to listen to music or plug into the projector for movie nights on the road.At £17.99, this is a fairly priced, decent showerproof speaker.
