Exceptional little gadget, does what it says.
I purchased this for a specific purpose in mind and if the outcome was unsuccessful, well I hadn’t lost much. And if it should work, I argued I could upgrade to something more expensive, and presumably it would also be of higher audio quality. Well, the good news is it worked and did I upgrade? No, as it not only met but exceeded my expectations. BT devices are improving all the time as regards audio quality, but as the sound from this little unit is so good anyway, I’d be reluctant to spend more on the off-chance.The original purpose was to dispense with cable connections and to BT music from my laptop and Shield tablet to a portable mini-disc player/recorder, specifically my Sony MZ-B10, but also to my standalone hi-fi separate MD recorder. I found that this Golvery worked extremely well and playing back DDD recordings from CD via my Sony MDR CD1700 headphones, the sound was truly excellent for BT. This was a severe test owing to the CD1700’s transparent mid-range. Playback also revealed that the Golvery was completely immune to electrical interference and didn’t add any audible hiss or noise of its own. I don’t know what its stated output power is as this would have been useful to know at the start as the B10 has no recording level control on its line input. Happy to report, though, that it doesn’t overload the B10’s input and loud signals are recorded cleanly.Out of interest I compared the same work on a mini-disc recorded directly from a CD, using my Yamaha S2700 SACD player as the source, to my Sony JB930 QS with that of the same work ripped at 320kbps to my pc and copied to my MZ-B10 via the Golvery. Using the Sony ‘phones I found it nigh on impossible to tell the difference. I feel this is proof that the Golvery neither adds to nor detracts from the signal it is passing. This comparison really surprised me as I was fully expecting the direct CD recording to the much higher quality JB930 recorder to be audibly different, and superior.All in all, a great buy.

Good coverage bluetooth
I bought this for my 3m Peltor ear defenders, this device was the correct size to Velcro onto the side of the defender and just plug into the 3.5mm jack aux input, . It has excellent coverage as I can leave my phone at one end of the workshop without losing signal while I’m working . The battery life is also very good , I have had it two weeks and still not needed charging, Overall I can recommend

Good but buggy
I use this as a reciever on a speaker in a workshop. The reciever does work, however it sometimes disconnects itself, or wont let you connect at all. The on/off button works in reverse, making it confusing to use to begin with. It wont let you connect whilst it is charging, however once connected, you can charge and play at the same time. I had to guess how to connect it as it came with no real instructions, which i eventually figured out by trial and error on the 1 button. The connecting cable is quite short, only 10cm or so.That being said, the sound quality is fine. The conector is very small. Multiple devices can connect at the same time. For the price, this connector works just fine once it is up and running.

Only purchased in June 2022 and it’s broken/updated
I purchased this item for my son along with extra insurance.Fantastic little product with great sound, sadly suddenly fell apart, I messaged seller around 5 weeks ago and haven’t heard back. (Hoping I didn’t message in wrong place, but don’t think so) my son is nagging me for another, I was holding off until I heard. As I haven’t I’m reluctantly re ordering for his Christmas stocking. It was a good product and I hope maybe ours was faulty and we will this time be in luck. I have always been happy with my Amazon purchases but just lately had 2 items fail on me, hopefully my luck will change.* since writing this review the seller kindly contacted me to offer help, they kindly offered to send a replacement that I received today. Fantastic customer care, thank you so much.Again it’s stopped working, very disappointing!!!

Have this permanently plugged in to the vehicle that doesn’t have bluetooth function. Phone no longer has an AUX so this was a necessity to stream music to the car.Sound quality is solid, and build quality on the unit is solid as well. It is pretty small and unintrusive. Really only 2 buttons, an on/off button that doubles as a play/pause button. And a skip song button. The button layout was one of the reasons I got this and its been working really well for streaming music.If you leave it plugged in, it will automatically turn on when you start the vehicle and provides it power, and then automatically pair with the phone. This is perfect.One minor thing, it doens’t auto turn off when car is turned off. I didn’t expect it to, and this is just to confirm it won’t. You’ll have to manually shut it down. Have had more than a few instances where I didn’t and I’m sure it just kept draining throughout the night while parked. No issues upon start up again though as it’ll just boot right back up when power is supplied and the batteries will charge as you drive again.Solid little unit.

This little gadget has worked great for us, helping get more use out of an old stereo with great sound but hard to connect Bluetooth. Adding this solves the problem and now connecting to streaming audio is a breeze! We ordered another one for a friend who admired ours so much.
