Nice speaker, looks great, sound could be better
I have two of these, linked in stereo, either side of the bed. They look awesome but I can’t help being a little disappointed with the overall sound. I’m not 100% sure why, it just lacks a little something, which I can’t put my finger on. Still, they work well when linked to my phone and the battery life is impressive.

Useful Extension to My Smart Phone
I listen to a lot of sounds on my iPhone, both catch-up radio programmes and audiobooks. By connecting my phone to the Roberts by Bluetooth, I get a better listening experience. Some Roberts products have too much base but the balance with this one seems just about right. A sonorous, rich tone superior to the iPhone, which can be a bit tinny, and of course you can turn the volume higher. The Roberts can be moved from room to room easily. Battery life seems OK. Glad I bought it, but it was rather pricey. COMMENTS ADDED LATER There are lots of settings which make this a very adaptable device. E.g. you can alter the balance between treble and base to whatever suits your listening. You can set it to switch off automatically so you can listen to music programmes and audiobooks as you fall asleep. Lots of other options. I did not realise this at first (but would have done so if I’d read the leaflet, which I didn’t bother with — entirely my fault.) An excellent bit of kit, one of my best purchases.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ROBERTS RADIOSâ¦..STRANGE?
I bought this specifically to pair with my Roberts radio, how disappointed was I to discover it wouldnât pair. Only intense research on the web did I discover my radio needs a transmitter at extra cost because the radio is basically a receiver nothing more. For £60 i expected better.Itâs going back and I will do without.On another note that during testing I found the sound to be poor quality, so it would probably have gone back anyway. It has no clarity at all.The other reviewers are spot on.

Si vous aimez un son détaillé, sans le boomi des Bose ou Jbl, mais de la définition de lâéquilibre et du plaisir dâécoute pour du jazz du lyrique et du classique ou simplement pour des heures et des heures de radio… elles son parfaite. En duo pour une écoute stéréo… câest le top. Attention le radiateur de basse est à lâarrière, donc le positionnement est important pour profiter des basses… 8/10. Les deux points manquants sont 1 pour la puissance, précise mais un peu juste et 1 pour le chargement sur adaptateur secteur spécifique, pas un usb. Mais honnêtement, je reprends les mêmes sans problème…
