Absolutely great
I used this for a small 12VDC off-grid system. I wired up about 9m of LED strip lighting to the 12V supply through a 10A fuse and then to the dimmer switch. The positive terminal is PWM-modified, while the negative terminal is common to the source and the sink. The terminals are high quality, with either Phillips or flat screwdriver accepted. There is no terminal torque specification so I torqued to 0.7 nM. I used 2.5mm^2 bootlace ferrules on my wiring.When fully bright my LED lighting pulls about 5.25A. All of this went without any hiccup and my only headache was routing the cabling.

Works well
This works well, dimming my motorhome ambient lights which are too bright and take nearly 5A. With this dimmer, the lights are much better and much more efficient. I didn’t use the facia plate as I made my own custom one

Brilliant for LED light strips!!
If you need some light in a cupboard, loft or shed, or maybe even a bathroom that you don’t want to put in a switch, then this is perfect for you.Just put this in series with a 12v LED DC supply and the strips themselves, and you get a time controlled PIR switch. The trigger timer works from 30s upto 10min or so, and retriggers on new IR detection.What else can I say? It works exactlly as expected, and I’ll probably buy some more!!!Thanks VIPMOON …P.S. It is also very hackable, in that in changing the RC time values are fairly easy. Search for BISS0001 IR detector.

Didnรขยยt use face plate. Works well though.
The back part is very thick. I didnรขยยt want to put a hole in my van so did away with the plate and just left it dangling in a cupboard.

bought this to go on my led strips. my partner fixed it all together we now have one in the kitchen so when you work in the lights stay on for 2 mins or longer if the sensor senses you are there. and also one on the landing so soon as we go to the hallway the stairs led lights all light up great item my husband fitted it to the led and didnt take him long at all. will purchase them from here if we need anymore in the future very happy. delivery great. and item does exactly what it is meant to do many thanks

Awkward design
I have two issues with this switch. First, the nut attaching the faceplate to the switchbox cannot be tightened enough to stop the switchbox rotating as you turn the knob which is irritating and will lead to the nut becoming loose over time. The obvious DIY fix to this is to glue the faceplate to the switchbox, which leads on to issue two – the wiring can only be screwed to the switchbox when it is apart from the faceplate. I don’t know why they couldn’t have designed it with the wiring screws accessible from the back.
