Volume Control

Ideal for converting your Audio Tapes to MP3 Files
This is a very good piece of kit. Tape deck will record both sides of your audio tape to an MP3 File on a USB Drive. You just click play and record. Make sure you select play both sides. I record the entire tape as a single MP3 file. Once done I plug the Flash Drive into my PC, using Audacity (a free Audio Editor you can download) I edited the MP3 File into book marks for each song and exported to individual songs. Very impressed the tape deck will run off a USB port. I have a 6 USB port Hub attached to my PC so I just plugged the tape deck into and empty USB port. Comes with a USB lead. Or you can run off batteries. Highly recommended for converting your Old Audio tapes to MP3 format. Slowly working through all my old tapes. Important note, Sound quality will only be as good as the quality of the audio tapes you are playing.

With Preparation of Cassettes & Careful Setting-up This Unit Gives Outstanding Results
Before attempting to play or copy cassettes, these should be fast forwarded and rewound once or twice. If you used good quality cassettes originally, you shouldn’t have mechanical playback problems. The unit works best using a mains adaptor to ensure the motor runs well. The motor has a circuit to control speed and this can be heard on the unit I have both on MP3 recordings or tape playback. The noise seems to be picked up by the earphone lead. To minimise interference experiment by moving the deck and leads to minimise pick up. I have the earphone lead placed at right angles to the power lead. The noise level I now get is very low . I can thoroughly recommend this unit for copying your old recordings- especially at the price. I did use good quality earbuds for monitoring.Further experiments show that using a screened USB extension lead plugged into the mains adaptor with a further additional USB lead togive over 2 metres of space between the mains adaptor and the tape deck can, with careful positioning of the earbud and USB cables give an extremely low hum noise level. Many mains adaptors supplied with USB powered computer hardware have a choke (the cylinder near one end of the cable) to filter out unwanted hum and motor noise.I would have been happy to have paid more for the Adaptek Cassette deck if supplied with a dedicated power supply unit supplying a ‘clean’ 5 volt DC supply. Unfortunately the cassette deck has a high power consumption which ‘eats’ even the best batteries. Set up with care this unit does give outstanding results.October 2018;- Further use of this unit shows that it can be set up to convert the audio output of a computer to give MP3 files of excellent quality completely free of the magnetic field ‘hum’ problem experienced when converting cassettes to MP3

Awful
Given the price of 30odd quid, my expectations were not set high. But, on receipt, I was stunned by the very poor quality materials and construction. I pressed on however, and tried to get this to work for me. The tape transport worked ok; including auto reverse. The max’ volume is very low and the sound quality through the free earbuds is full of hiss and not at all good enough for most purposes. The killer, was the hopeless bluetooth which simply would not pair with my trusty Sony speaker which has never before (or since) failed to pair with any device. Returned.

Bluetooth noisy
First of all it is great that portable cassette players are being made. My next point would be that it would be better to make them cost say £50 and improve the design. I am assuming here I do not have a faulty unit which I have no reason to suspect I do as this chimes with other reviews.Good.Mechanically fine and easy to use, flimsy but functionalSounds reasonably good through (good) headphone and comparable with a cheapish 90s WalkmanAuto reverseBadAudio analog circuit is not shielded from the Bluetooth chip so very noisy (whines horribly) and unusable on headphones whilst the unit is try to pair.Bluetooth when connected is noisy, low volume and poor audio quality. I could not listen to this and this has been badly implemented.Cannot switch off Bluetooth.My recommendation would be to find the non Bluetooth version of this player which would be reasonably good value when compared to second hand Walkmans which are not cheap and often have worn parts.

A cassette tape player for 2020 with USB stick recording built in
Get ready to take a trip down nostalgia lane with this amazing cassette player (children please Google Cassette). It’s not the first one I’ve owned but the previous one gave up in the end after copying hundreds of old cassette tapes to MP3 and only recorded via USB into a laptop. Place that cassette tape in, close the lid and a sturdy click of the play button and boom you have music. The headphones supplied aren’t particularly good so I tested with my own and through a small portable speaker plus as the video shows though the car stereo (most cars would be the aux in). It’s a cassette tape player so don’t expect CD quality but you will get great audio quality exactly like the good old days and plug a USB stick in and you can record anything that’s playing (like recording the top 40 on a Sunday Afternoon). The quality of the MP3 recorded using the built in facility was excellent and I use Adobe Audition professionally so was able to clean up and get really good archives. Because this has a USB stick recording facility there is no USB out to record into a PC or MAC. Love it Love It Love It – But remember to have a pen or pencil nearby (Only grown ups that have used cassette tapes will know why)

Radyo alıcısı çok iyi ve cihaz çok hafif, her yere taÅınabilir. Hoparlör çok verimli olmasa da Aux çıkıÅına kulaklık ya da hoparlör takılarak kullanılabilir. I like that it’s easy to use and figure outThis is what I originally wrote:However after a month, my fast forward button quit working, the auto reverse went haywire. Meaning the tape player would switch sides at random times in mid record. The worst was when it damaged two tapes. One time it snapped the film and one was damaged, but salvageable.The instructions said to go to the website if I have any issues, however, when searching for this tape player, there’s no mention of it anywhere.UPDATE: The part about the website is true unfortunately. However, I’m about 90% sure it was a bad cassette that caused the issue NOT the converter. I’m going to do a test run on a dummy tape to make sure, but so far I may have jumped the gun on my previous statement out of frustration.FINAL UPDATE: Ok, yes it was a bad cassette that caused my issue. The cassettes in question were the Maxell UR 120s. IEC Type 1-Normal. They came in a red case and I bought and used them to record my radio shows in the late 90s early 2000s. DON’T put them in the converter especially if they’re not rewound and have been sitting for a long time. That part of the tape was warped on mine and the converter ate them up. So what I did, was I used another cassette player from a boom box I bought new a few years ago. I connected the headphone jack to the aux on the converter and haven’t had an issue since.I do recommend this converter. It’s been a blessing for me because I was trying to avoid buying a laptop just for my project. I still use my fiancee’s laptop, but only to empty my flash drive and transfer everything to an sd card so I can listen to it on my phone and rename the files their appropriate title. Ich habe mir den Mypin in Januar 2023 gekauft und bin sehr begeistert. Auch noch im September 2024Zum Digitalisieren von Hörspielen eignet er sich sehr gut. Es geht mit Hilfer der kleine Micro-Karte schnell und einfach. Auf hohe Lautstärke stellen, starten, Aufnahme drücken und los gehts.Wenn man in den Kopfhörereingang einfach einen Klinkestecker steck (egal ob Kabel oder nur Stecker) nimmt das Gerät auf, ohne dass man die ganze Zeit mithören muss oder jemanden stört. Mit einem Kofhörer kann man auch mithören.Es ist mit einer richtigen Anlage natürlich nicht zu vergleichen, aber zum Digitalisieren der alten Hörspielkassetten eine tolle Sache. Die Qualität ist schon sehr gut.Ich habe mir einen USB Stick gekauft, in den man die Karte einstecken und sofort auf den PC übertragen kann.Wenn die Qualität nachlässt, den Tonabnehmer reinigen!
