One of the all-time great platformers
Top class platforming! Beautiful to look at, incredibly fun and addictive to play, but also deeply infuriating at times as the difficulty level increases. The big difference between this and the original game is that you can play as Funky King which makes the game a lot easier, eg you can float over spikes. This is great for kids. My son gave up on the original game when we had it on a previous console because it was just too tough for him. But this allows him to enjoy the game without wanting to hurl the controller at the screen. The boss levels are fiendishly difficult as before but patience is rewarded. The game is full of cute surprises and classic Nintendo humour. What’s not to love?

If youรขยยre into Mario etc, this one is definitely worth checking out, but there are a few things to keep in mind.What I Loved:รขยยข Incredible Level Design: The levels are gorgeous and super creative. Every stage feels different, with unique themes, challenges, and even music that perfectly fits the vibe. Itรขยยs not just a gameรขยยitรขยยs an experience.รขยยข Challenging Gameplay: This game does not hold your hand. Itรขยยs tough but rewarding. Every time I beat a tricky section, I felt like I earned it. And when I messed up (a lot), it was usually my fault, not the gameรขยยs.รขยยข Playable Characters: You can play as Donkey Kong or get help from characters like Diddy, Dixie, and Cranky Kong, each with their own abilities. Itรขยยs fun experimenting with what works best in different levels.รขยยข Funky Mode: If the challenge feels overwhelming, thereรขยยs Funky Kong, who makes things easier with extra health and moves. Itรขยยs perfect if you just want to enjoy the game without raging.What Could Be Better:รขยยข Difficulty Spikes: The game can go from manageable to รขยยpull-your-hair-out hardรขยย in the blink of an eye. A KONG Platforming Marvel
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is one of those games you come by every once in awhile where there isn’t much you can really fault it for. This is by far one of the best platformers to ever exist… Yeh I’m serious. It’s roght up there with the best and what’s even better is the game immerses you in its lush forests, characters oh and the sound?Don’t get me started, Tropical Freeze has by far one of the most impressive soundtracks I have heard in a video game for years I don’t know what it is that Nintendo does but they just get video games like this right.Gameplay is fluid and smooth and you can really get the hang of the game pretty quick, but don’t be fooled this game is no joke and it does get demanding with its difficulty you won’t breeze this game on normal mode BUT in that regard as you can see on the cover Nintendo have added something called FUNKY MODE where you play as Funky instead of Donkey Kong, Funky has more health and abilities which makes the game alot easier to run through which is great if you want a quick game for a short time or if you have kids who want a bit more of a more forgiving game.Adding to the experience is collecting all of the K.O.N.G letters and Pieces of a puzzle to unlock collectables which really adds reason to go back and replay levels as I have countless times. There is also local multiplayer if you want to play with a friend which is where you play through the same game but as separate character I’ve given it a go and it can be pretty enjoyable but it’s definitely not the centre of attention but it’s there if you want it.Visually the game looks STUNNING! Running at a full 720p on handheld and 1080p on a TV this game looks beautiful and I mean that. Stunning colour and crisp textures for a switch game course this world feels alive!!Honestly just going off what I’ve written so far there is no reason why you shouldn’t have already ordered this game. If you haven’t experienced this game then you really have to.Enjoy the Jungle.

I must say, as a young single gay male this game has kept me entertained for days on end! I have forgotten about dating full stop recently because I just want to play this game 24/7. Must get back out there and find another man who appreciates this game as much as I do other men. 100% worth it guys.

Die Steuerung des Spieles ist einfach nur schlecht. Schlagen und Sprinten ist auf der selben Taste belegt, was dazu fรยผhrt, dass wenn man aus dem Stand los Sprinten will, dass man erstmal auf den Boden schlรยคgt. Dann verhรยคlt DK sich manchmal seltsam und Rutscht ein paar mm weiter. Auf die Wasser level will ich gar nicht erst eingehen, denn da ist die Steuerung noch schlechter.
