Read instructions first if unsure of fitting
Chose this as a direct replacement for a faulty pre-existing light switch. The switches both have a positive clicking action when used and they can be used as either one or two way switches, in my case they were both used as a one way switch. The poles are clearly marked and a flat or cross headed screwdriver ca be used for tightening the fitting. In my case I used the âCOMMâ for the live input wire and the âL1â for the switched live output on each fitting.The switch is of a particularly smart appearance when fitted as the screw holes are covered by the face plate which has rounded corners and is easily removed if required by prizing a small screwdriver into the slots at the base of the face plate.

Seems well constructed, works well
Not especially cheap, but the switch appears to be well built. It has a good solid clicking action.It is 2 gang, but each switch can also be used for a 1 way or 2 way setup. I used it to replace a 2 gang, one way switch and it was easy to install and works well. The thin “screwless” faceplate snaps onto the back plate securely.

A high quality product with invisible fixing screws
This is a high quality electrical product with no visible fixing screws. The screw terminals are an adequate size for the conductors that you will use and there is a metal plate for fixing it to a pattress box. That is unusual as electrical switches tend to be mostly made of plastic. This will add to the strength and quality of the product.The instructions are very good with a diagram of how this switch should be wired and is well-written. The face plate is easy to remove and re-fit and all you need is a flat-bladed screwdriver to prise it off using the two slots at the bottom. Re-fitting is achieved by first connecting the top and then pushing the bottom in position.The switches can be wired to suit your requirements – 1 way or 2 way. The switches are easy to operate. The product is fitted to a suitable pattress box using the 2 supplied fixing screws being fixed through holes in the metal plate behind the face plate. The value is good and I highly recommend this product.

Sadly, safety issue means a low score
A robust and quality manufactured socket outlet that is easy to install and gives a clean, chic, professional premium feel once fitted.It is supplied in 2 parts, a metal backplate which is attached first using the regular screws supplied, thereafter the plastic cover plate simply “snaps on” the plate, giving a smooth, aesthetically pleasing result as the ugly fixing screws are concealed.Wiring up – the terminals adequately accommodate 3x 2.5mm cables.WARNING The supplied item did not have an earth terminal fitted, despite one being shown in the installation manual. This is a safety concern as the metal backplate is reliant upon the fixing screws, ok if the backbox is metal AND earthed in its own right, however if the backbox is plastic, therefore non conductive, then the metal plate plate could become “live” if a conductor has sprung out of item terminal perhaps. As the securing screws are concealed, by design, then there is no way of testing for this prior to removal of the front plate, so if that metal plate is “live”, this is immediately a danger when the front plastic plate is removed as it is a large surface area that is easily touched.This safety issue reflects my star score…. A shame, as the item otherwise is good quality.

I’ve used…
I’ve used the same snap on cover switches previously and they work fine.Connections are well labelled and easy to attach the wires to.These work well as replacements for old or damaged switches. The ‘no visible screw’ is a slight bonus, but you can of course purchase small plastic caps to hide the screws on normal switches.So, easy to use and they work well in operation.

Good But Back Box Depth May Be A Problem
This is a nice quality two gang 2 way switch light switch and the screw-less design is a nice touch. Both switches can be set up as 1 way or 2 way so it gives a lot of flexibility. It was easy to fit, you screw the backplate into the back box and then the cover clips over. The only issue I can see with it is that the back section is quite deep and this could be a problem on modern shallower back boxes, so it’s worth checking the depth before committing. Overall I’m happy with this light switch.

LIDER 2-Gang Screwless Light Switch, 1-Way/2-Way, UKCA Certified, Plastic Screwless Faceplate, RoHS Compliant, Heat ……This is a 2-gang switch, in white with a screwless, clip-on bezel. My old switch is broken on both its buttons, so this is a quick replacement. The L1, L2 and Com are in different positions to the one I removed, but I just matched them up so there was no problem. Comes with an instruction leaflet, simple to fit / exchange, a good solid click from the switches too.Took about 10 minutes to wire up, screws are included but you can always use the original screws if they are longer. Once fitted, the bezel just clips on. Not quite as fancy as my old one, but it serves as a quick replacement. As always with electrical appliances, if you don’t know what you are doing get a professional in to do it for you.
