Smart modern 3-gang switch that works well for mixed two-way and one-way circuits
I ordered the LIDER 3-Gang Screwless Light Switch in glossy white to replace a hallway switch that had been cracked during redecoration. The screwless faceplate appealed to me because it looks cleaner and more modern than standard switches with exposed screws. My old switch had plastic screw caps that were awkward to remove without damaging the plate, so the clip-on cover of the LIDER is a welcome improvement.The build quality is good. It is the third LIDER product I have used and all have felt solid and well made. The three rockers move smoothly with a positive click. The metal mounting plate screws securely to the back box, and the plastic cover clips neatly over it to conceal the screws. It sits flush against the wall and feels firm once in place. I use standard plastic faceplate surrounds throughout the house and this fitted perfectly, so sizing is spot-on.Installation was straightforward. My unit neede to control two circuits that are wired as two-way switches and one as a single-way switch, which the LIDER handles without issue. The terminals are clearly marked (L1, L2 and COM) and the screws were pre-loosened, which helps. When isolating the circuit at the consumer unit remember that switches in a hallway may control both upstairs and downstairs lighting circuits, so do not forget to switch off both circuits and never assume the wiring is correct. Always test to confirm it is dead before starting work. I recommend taking a few photos of the old wiring before removal, as a 3-gang switch, especially when used for two-way lighting as in my case, often has several wires of the same colour and can be confusing. The terminal layout was slightly different from my previous switch but easier to follow. My back box is about 2 cm deep and there was enough room for the wiring, which was quite short.The glossy white finish looks smart and modern, and the screwless faceplate gives a neat, finished appearance.At under รยฃ10 it represents good value for a 3-gang switch that feels well made and looks much smarter than a standard screw-through plate.Overall: a clean, modern upgrade that is easy to install, feels solid in use and looks far better than a basic switch with visible screws. Just check your back-box depth before fitting and always isolate the circuit fully before working.

A robust and quality manufactured switch plate that is easy to install and gives a clean, chic, professional premium feel once fitted.It is supplied in 2 parts, a metal backplate which is attached first using the regular screws supplied, thereafter the plastic cover plate simply “snaps on” the plate, giving a smooth, aesthetically pleasing result as the ugly fixing screws are concealed.Wiring up – the terminals adequately accommodate conductors.WARNING The supplied item did not have an earth terminal fitted, despite one being shown in the installation manual. This is a safety concern as the metal backplate is reliant upon the fixing screws, ok if the backbox is metal AND earthed in its own right, however if the backbox is plastic, therefore non conductive, then the metal plate plate could become “live” if a conductor has sprung out of item terminal perhaps. As the securing screws are concealed, by design, then there is no way of testing for this prior to removal of the front plate, so if that metal plate is “live”, this is immediately a danger when the front plastic plate is removed as it is a large surface area that is easily touched.This safety issue reflects my star score…. A shame, as the item otherwise is good quality.

This is a very neat looking switch, and easy to install.The back plate is metal which is screwed into the wall and the plastic cover just clips over the top. There’s no earth connector on the plate, so the screws in the back box have to provide the earthing – unless you’re using a plastic box in plasterboard, then there’s no earthing for it and you’re relying on the clip on plate to provide insulation.Switches smoothly and feels very nice. Top price though.

A neat switch but may need a deeper back box
The light switch looks and feel of good quality with a white smooth finish. I particularly like that it doesn’t show the screws.The quality looks good and the finish is fine and as a 3-gang/2 way switch it works as it should. The three switches are mounted on a metal plate which is screwed onto the back box and a white plastic cover is clipped onto this. This hides the screws and give it a neat appearance, even better than the types that use small round caps to cover the screws.The various switch connections, i.e. Com, L1 and L2, are in a different configuration than the switches that it was to replace. There’s also a ‘loop’ connection on one of the switches.It is designed to fit into a minimum 20mm deep 1-gang back box. However, because the back is slightly deeper than the switch it was to replace, I wasn’t able to install it even though the back box it was going into was 30mm because of the amount of wiring which included neutral wires and a single connector block. Consequently I was not able to screw it flush to the wall and it protruded a few millimetres.If you have a sufficiently deep back box or do not have the same anount of wiring as there is in mine then it is a good replacement.I’ve rated it as 4 stars because it is rather more expensive than other 3 gang switches.

Good But Needs More Back Box Depth
This is a nice quality triple gang 2 way switch light switch and the screw-less design is a nice touch. Each of the 3 gangs can be used as 1 way or 2 way so it gives a lot of flexibility. It was easy to fit, you screw the backplate into the back box and then the cover clips over. The only issue I can see with it is that the back section is quite deep and this could be a problem on modern shallower back boxes especially if you had the wiring for 3 separate 2 way circuits so it’s worth checking the depth before committing. Overall I’m happy with this light switch.
