Looks good and works well, a bargain at this price.
I popped into B&Q for a brushed steel dimmer switch and the only one they offered was รยฃ25 so I decided to give this one a go. The metal part is thin and light but once its screwed to the wall its as rigid as any other more expensive offering and it looks just as good. The terminals are easily accessible with a small screwdriver unlike another one I bought from here where the terminal screws were so tight that I couldn’t even open them.Installation was easy but check the terminals because the common is on the side not in the middle as I expected.The knob has a positive on/off action but there is a lot of free play in the dimming action where nothing appears to happen at the light end. This could be due to the G9 bulbs in my lights however.The switch makes no buzz or hum whatsoever in operation.

Fragile internals and flickering light.
The internals came loose while fitting, but it seemed safe, so I continued fitting it. Once fitted, on full power, the light has an intermittent flicker. At some point I’m going to replace this item with something a bit more robust. It works fine if I turn it down from full power a little bit – most of the time.I certainly wouldn’t buy this product again.

No instructions
Looks great, however due to lack of instructions I nearly sent it back, I took old switch off, wires from L1 and L2 from old switch, onto L1 and L2 new switch, it didn’t work, swapped it over, nothing so requested refund, after looking at u tube I saw that live wire should go into the com slot and other wire into L1 and it worked, so I’m happy, really nice looking switch.
