First rate smart plugs
I’ve bought a few different brands over the years and these are the best in my opinion. I won’t buy any other brand now. These plugs connect instantly and I mean instantly! I love the features of this plug including the energy monitoring which I’ve not seen with other smart plugs. The size and shape of these plugs are practical and don’t get in the way of adjacent plugs. I’ve set these up via Smart Life plus Alexa. Both work perfectly. I can control timings and timers where ever I am which is essential. If you want to connect your devices via a smart plug but don’t think you are particularly “tech savvy” then these plugs are definitely for you..I didn’t even have to set my WiFi to 2.4GHz as I’ve a Smart Router that recognises what is required. So for me these are a no brainer.I feel these plugs are also safer for high energy items as they have a higher fuse rating of 20amp rather than 13amp.Highly recommended..

Quick to set up
The smart plugs were quick to set up unlike others I have had in the past. In the settings you can set it to turn on and off randomly with in a set time period, good for lights if you go out.

Good switch but poor meter.
While this has many useful switching options such as random switching and inching, it doesn’t work so we’ll as a meter where it only shows daily totals in Tuya. When connected to home assistant, it also occasionally produced vastly incorrect values. In contrast, the Eightree devices have never given incorrect values and in Tuya, they show more useful hourly values.

It actually delivers what it says.
Genuine high current plug which delivers what it says. I have a 3.6 KW tumble dryer with a large inductive load motor and this plug monitors it and switches it no problem.

Overrated and not for sustained load.
Plug is rated 20A. I used it to monitor consumption of energy of my 10A MENNEKES home charger for my PHEV. At some point charger stopped charging without any reason. Investigated and found that plug is not delivering any power. Further investigation revealed burned right pin (LIVE) slot. Melted plastic material and dark burn marks. This item may not meet criteria 20A rating. Definitely cannot be used for extended periods of sustained load of 10A.To have some proper stats of usage monthly subscription is required. I have already paid for device and this is hidden cost. Not fair for customers. Just another reason why despite of prices customers are moving their interest to more reliable and responsible suppliers.I’m just disappointed, but this was not a surprise.

GREAT FEATURES BUT..
The Maxesla Smart Plug is compatible with both Alexa and Google Home, making it easy to set up. I decided to order this plug primarily for the convenience of controlling my appliances at home, especially when I am away and have forgotten to turn them off. This is particularly useful for appliances and helps me maintain worry-free. What sets this plug apart from others is its energy usage monitoring feature, which allows me to track my consumption. Additionally, I can use it with high power devices such as kitchen appliances and electric heaters, unlike my other smart plugs that are limited to lower wattage usage. However, it is worth noting that this plug only works with the 2.4 GHz wifi band, which has a longer range but slower data rates, and not with the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands that offer faster speeds.Overall, I recommend this smart plug due to its range of features, power capacity, and compatibility with both Alexa and Google Home. But, it may not be the best choice if you have higher bandwidth. Thank you for taking time to read my review. I hope you ð find it helpful.
