The perfect duo to any desk setup
After months of putting off buying speakers and many hours searching the web, reading reviews on a range of desktop speakers i finally decided on the Audioengine A2+ speakers. I cant say you’d be disappointed with the choice, at least i wasn’t in the slightest!First off the unboxing was impressive, with the speakers coming secured well in protective packaging and wrapped in microfibre cloth soft to the touch, with another 2 microfibre bags storing the connecting wires, the first impressions oozed a premium feel with these great microfibre carrying bags.The little speakers pack great audio, with a well rounded and crisp range of sound and considering the size of these little guys the base isn’t bad at all! if you’re a hardcore basehead you may need an external sub but for the regular user for the home office these are perfect in this size and produce amazing sound these put out considering their small form factor. Any audiophile will appreciate this great desk addition and make sitting at your desk all that more inviting and leaving you not want to get out your seat!The design of these blend in and look and feel very study, solid and most important quality. The problem i found personally when looking for desktop speakers is the majority don’t compliment the desk and look out of place, tend to not look at nice and feel a bit cheap. This is certainly not the case with the A2s, they are a good weight in the hand, and the finish of the speakers is high end, from the smooth outer shell encasing the entire body to the drivers and back panels, you can tell these are premium quality and they sound as good as they look if not better! I wouldn’t expect these to produce any rattle from weight of them allowing for vibration dampening through the padded underside on the bottoms. The volume control to the rear left isn’t so much an issue at all, i adjust it to a certain level on the back and then control the volume though the device i’m using over bluetooth so turning the volume up or down can be done without issue.The setup was super simple to install and connect up to my devices, 5 minute job connecting the power and cable between the speakers and then pairing up to them with a bluetooth device.While they are some of the most pricey speakers when compared to its competitors in this range i believe them to be worth it. The build, sound, easy of use and looks of them top all my expectations and an investment well made with these 10/10 speakers!

Used with Laptop on desk, compact size, deep rich sound, awesome packaging!!
Got these in black for my home office desk.Using them primarily for music and some video.Connections:They are connected to my Macbook Pro, and I’ve placed them about 1.7M apart.The left speaker unit connects to the power cable.The 2 units are connected together with the speaker cable provided (speaker cable is 2 metres long).I have connected to my Macbook via the provided 1.5M USB cable, but can be connected via Bluetooth too.There are external outputs that could optionally connect to a subwoofer.Operation:They are turned on/off via the volume knob (on back of unit).I can turn the volume up/down via my keyboard controls (and/or can use the volume knob on the speaker).Sound:Very precise and rich sound. Bass is very good for units of this size.Very pleasing to listen to, and a noticeable step up in quality from other speakers of this size.I also purchased the silicone mounts to sit them on, which angles the speakers upwards for a more direct sound.Quality:By far, some of the best packaging I’ve experienced with a product!The speakers and their accessories/cabling were pampered in quality textile drawstring bags, all contents were packaged with alot of care and quality.The speakers themselves feel (and weigh) high quality, and have a noticeably high quality finish to them (mine are satin black).Pros:- Rich and precise sound quality- Aesthetically good looking on a desk- Can be easily connected via USB or Bluetooth- Volume easily controllable via device input (e.g. keyboard) and/or by the volume knob on the left speaker- Excellent build quality, and exceptionally well packagedCons:- Expensive compared to other 2.0 speakers availableOverall, I am very happy with these bookshelf speakers.They are pricey, but I can see, feel, and hear the difference.I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a concise pair of speakers, that is willing to pay extra for high quality.

Great compact monitors and high quality.
You should appreciate the high-quality build of the monitor. Theyâre great for casual users with limited desk space. The vocals are crisp and clear, but they lack bass due to their size. If you have the same monitor, I recommend getting the A5+ because it delivers more bass and volume. However, I was limited to desk space, so I opted for the A2+. If you get the S8 subwoofer, it makes the A2+ great combination. The only downside is that the volume control is behind the speaker, which makes no sense since itâs easily accessible at the front.

Audioengine a2+ awesome desktop / bookshelf speakers.
These speakers are great, simple to setup, easy to use, highly recommend.I love listening to music whilst working from home, I did my due diligence before purchasing these and waited for them to be on sale.The reviews I read placed these at the mid point price wise, for a small speaker it packs a punch, takes up very little desk space, and the clarity of sound is awesome.To set the tone, I have had Creative labs speakers and Logitech speakers historically for computer use and these blow them away.Bluetooth connectivity was no issue, the usb C connection when to the computer/laptop without a problem.The quality of the boxing of the speakers and all you need to connect them being in the box, made it breeze.

Estoy acostumbrado a escuchar equipos de audio caros y querÃa unas bocinas muy pequeñas para una área de trabajo en la que no tengo espacio. Estas bocinas suenan muy bien tomando en cuenta su tamaño. Aunque tengo un preamplificador con DAC integrado de 24 bits y 192KHz, realmente no se aprecia diferencia al usarlo en lugar del DAC incorporado en las bocinas de 16 bits y 48KHz. Tienen dos temas negativos: una caÃda importante de volumen en el rango de 1Khz a 5Khz, que se aprecia desde el primer momento. Es como si estuvieran ecualizadas en forma de V, con muy buenos bajos y agudos, pero pocos medios. El segundo detalle es que en pruebas utilizando la conexión Bluetooth el sonido tiene algunas pequeñas interrupciones, esto último lo probé con dos celulares Huawei, ambos con TIDAL instalado. Aunque generalmente nunca uso Bluetooth para conectar equipos de audio, sà habÃa usado previamente esos dos equipos con el pre-DAC que tengo y no se presentaba ese problema, por lo que pienso que puede ser algún problema con las bocinas. De cualquier manera las recomiendo ampliamente.
