What is a Bosch Smart Home controller?
The controller is the heart of the Bosch Smart Home system. It links all your smart components with the app and coordinates all the devices in your system.
Can I use the Bosch Smart Home system without the controller?
With the exception of the cameras, Bosch Smart Home components cannot be used without the controller.
Where is my data stored?
Your personal data is stored on your Smart Home controller in your home. If you use remote access to your Smart Home, the data is transferred to your smartphone or tablet in encrypted form.

Exelent value for top quality electrical security devices

Useful but limited range of devices for original hub
Internally, this appears to be based on the eQ-3 (Homematic IP) equivalent product though the systems are not currently compatible – I did try. They are easy to setup but need to be deconfigured if the controller is factory defaulted. My setup was simply linking it to a couple of Universal switches though the app lacks a lot of features for my needs. A fair number of controller updates have been pushed out over the last year so there is hope the system will improve over time. I moved on from LightwaveRF but they may still be a viable option with their updated product range and the app was more feature rich, at least with the original range of devices I had.

No complaints except price
I love Bosch’s smart home system, it’s by far the most reliable, intuitive and best thought-out system I’ve come across. These plugs are no exception, fully integratable with other parts such as thermostats and motion sensors, as well as having their own raft ofsettings/options. The only downside is price, but you can usually find special offers popping up pretty regularly.

Good quality item, works well for home heating control in individual rooms. Not cheap but have had no problems with it

Energy monitoring is useless and constantly losing connection
I purchased 3 of these plugs to replace some older energy monitoring plugs and the bosch ones are not accurate and don’t give proper real-time usage of energy being used.The plug even though it’s 2 metres from the controller constantly losses connection.Waste of money especially as you’re also forced to buy the controller as well.

im BOSCH system mit z.B einem BOSCH Zwischenstecker kombinierbar.Ich habe die bei meiner Waschmaschine Im Einsatz, mit folgenden Logik:wird Wasser dedektiert am Boden, schalte ich den Strom der Waschmaschine ab, sodas kein Wasser aus der Maschine mehr abgepumpt werden kann, sollte der Abwasserschlauch gelรยถst oder das Abwasserrohr verstopft sein…wie bei mir passiert! (รยผblicherweise ist ja nur der Wasser ZULAUF gesichert…)
