Ideal for evenings
Sat this next to the bed mostly because of the light and sound combo. Didnât expect much at first, but itâs genuinely relaxing at night. Dropped in a bit of lavender oil out of habit, and now itâs part of the wind-down. The volume is enough for a smaller room â havenât felt the need to crank it up past halfway. Soundâs clean, not tinny or flat. The shape makes it easy to carry, so sometimes Iâll move it to the kitchen or outside when having coffee. Batteryâs lasted longer than expected so far, even when using the light. Not something Iâd take to a full-on party, but more for small moments. No issues with pairing or connection drops. Has earned its spot on the shelf.

Cute, decent sound but expensive.
This is CUTE. The sound isn’t going to give you a nightclub scenario but for it’s size it’s pretty good. In my video I have the volume at max in both my phone and the device, I hope it gives you an indication of loudness and clarity. I listen to audiobooks a lot so tried a couple of different narrators to see how clear the voices are from the speaker and I’m impressed, no muffled sounds either from voices or from music. I’m deaf in both ears with very limited high frequency hearing, I hear low frequency sounds a bit better. Even without my hearing aids I was able to enjoy my audiobook and music.The aromatherapy disc is a bit of a gimmick, the disc doesn’t warm up so the aromatherapy oil is just being water around as the disc rotators. There is a danger of the oil dropping into the device, if that happens the coating would probably be ruined so care is needed when using aromatherapy oils. I won’t be using them and only added a drop of lavender oil to test what happens and won’t be using oils again.The buttons are push buttons to control the unit. The knob slides up or down to turn on and to pair and activate Bluetooth. Connecting to the Bluetooth was very quick and I’ve had no dropout issues.The device tried to mimic a t0retro record player and reminds me a little of my very first record player in a suitcase type casing but it was red not cream. I think as a Bluetooth device to play music, books or to act as a speaker for a phone or tablet when watching TV or films, it’s decent but the aromatherapy disc is a bit useless, you may as well just dab a few drops of oil onto a cotton makeup pad.It is very overpriced for what it is at £39.99 I think it should be half that. I love the size because it will fit pretty much anywhere and will be easy to pack in a bag if needed for travelling.

Funky Little Speaker
“We added nothing extraneous in order to make the speaker as small and simple as possible” says the blurb, whilst the product actually includes an illuminated, spinning wheel to be used as an aromatherapy diffuser! I thought that was quite funny. I’ve actually used the turntable as a stand for a small figurine of Brian the dog from Family Guy, which looks pretty cool as he rotates.It’s a really funky retro design and looks look a tiny record player. Controls are very simple and connectivity is easy via Bluetooth. Charges via included USB-C lead.The sound quality is as you’d expect from a very small, unbranded Chinese speaker – adequate for household use but not high fidelity and not loud enough for a party.If this was half the price I’d give it five stars but I think £40 is a bit steep.

Quirky cool
Everything about this is suggests I should hate it and yet, I don’t! It’s bizarre – I’m supposed to be grumpy! A little speaker that is just a gimmick really. Does it sound excellent? No. It’s ok, but don’t expect anything premium. Does it do anything unique? No, unless you include the pseudo record deck. Are the product pictures accurate? Not really. I mean, I tried gifting it to my other half, the same way the fella in the photo is doing, and she just laughed in my face. How rude…So, what do I like about it? To me, it just looks retro cool whilst remaining functional. It would easily be camouflaged in an antique store. If it’s sat on your desk, a passer-by will ask what it is. And for me, they said it’s cool too. It’s a functional ornament. With its big typewriter-esque buttons, it’s actually easier to operate than the majority of the big hitters.If you want something a little different and don’t care for something that’ll shake the ground, I’d recommend this. At £30 it’s bang on budget.

It’s not great sound… Couldn’t get the aromatharapy part to work
This is a cool product in theory, but it’s expensive for the sound quality you get. Don’t get me wrong, this is totally fine to play any kind of music on and the bluetooth connection works really nicely, but it lacks the bass and depth that a speaker of a similar price would give you. If you’re after sound quality over anything else, this isn’t for you.The aromatheray feature… Unless mine is faulty, I don’t really see how this is supposed to work. The instructions say to put a drop of oil on the rotating disk. But all the disk does is rotate, it doesnt heat up or anything and I don’t think it’s a ultrasonic one, so you’ve just got a spinning drop of oil. I left my drop of oil on it for about 20 minutes while music played and I literally had to sniff it about 2 inches away to get anything.I didn’t see any of the other reviews test this feature so I thought I’d go out of my way to do it.

An odd and intriguing looking speaker
I absolutely love the design of this, I haven’t tried any aromatherapy oils on it yet, and I might not because I actually just love the wheel spinning without any smells. The speakers sound great for their size and the design of it is just so interesting, really stands out and is a great little conversation starter. The wood effect actually looks quite nice too and the colour and grain almost match my desk, so it looks very at home where I have it sat. Very happy with this!
