Bigger sound than it’s size.
This is a yellow portable, but not quite pocketable ( perhaps a coat pocket ) speaker. The yellow is bold, and if yellow is your thing, this is yellow.Principally it’s a Bluetooth device, and so has a built in mic to handle calls – in much the same way a Bluetooth headset does. Connection was easy as it should be.Charging is behind a rubbery grommit, via a USB C socket. There’s also a SD card slot here – meaning you can play music from that medium, which works, I popped a 32Gb card in with a few songs inside a folder – and the device found them, control was the usual long press of the volume to skip tracks.I can’t see a upper limit for the device in terms of the SD capacity listed however. There’s also an aux in via 3.5 jack socket too, and male to male jack cable is provided so a “Toothless” device can use the speaker that way.The device is IP5 water resistant – ie the device can resist a sustained, low-pressure water jet spray. So rain basically. It’s not then a good idea to get this really wet, or drop in into water based on this rating. The only other negative is I find my thumb catches the front speaker when I reach for it, I just need to train my fingers to pinch a little higher perhaps. The plastic feels rubbery and pretty good to the touch, the controls are pretty much intuitive – the phone switch however first cycles through the three modes, Bluetooth, Aux and SD card, with the Bluetooth coming on first when the device is powered on.Battery life is about five hours – depending on how loud you have this. What really matters is that the sound is surprisingly big for such a small speaker, and that really recommends this device at this price point.

Great build quality with good sound and a design that suits everyone.
What a great waterproof Bluetooth speaker. Really well built and thus has a quality feel and weight to it. It’s all covered with a rubberised texture, the type C charging port (cable included) has a firm sealing cap over it and it’s also were you’ll find the audio in connection and memory card slot. It was quick to connect to my phone and connection was good throughout. You can switch the RGB lighting on/off, sound sensitive or on a particular colour should you choose. The ability to switch the light off will also help prolong the battery life. The little white power light pulses away as it’s charging, staying solid once fully charged. You can also still use the speaker whilst charging which is very handy given it doesn’t have the biggest battery, so take a power bank if your going to be outdoors for long durations and you’ll be fine. As you can hear in the video the music is of a good quality for such a small speaker I think helped by its cube design giving some depth to the music. You can also link speakers together giving you stereo sound. A great waterproof speaker wether your in the shower, at the beach, sitting in the park with friends or camping!

Perfect for kids and adults alike
The build quality is good and it has a good weighty feel to it, indicating that it isn’t cheaply made. The sound quality is ok but remember it’s a small speaker so don’t expect too much of it for outdoor use. Indoors it’s great for general listening. Connection is faultless and I really like the colour lights to the music. A good choice in my opinion

tl;dr–It THUMPS.So, I followed a seriously detailed review I found on another bluetooth portable speaker listed on Amazon, I believe it was an Anker model, something that looked reasonably good for the price. Well, this review had given the full pros and cons of this model along with like three others, but to me the pros for this one stuck out a lot more than the cons. Honestly, for thirty bucks, I think this EDUPLINK6 is a steal. I can’t speak to the waterproof aspect of it, because I don’t enjoy going to the beach or pool all that much. But, as a guy who works overnight in a small warehouse with fantastic acoustics and free reign to blast music as loud as I want to as long as I get the job done, well, let me tell you that this speaker THUMPS!It says 20 watts of juice is coming out of it, but I don’t even know what that means. I’m an 80s guy. What I know how to compare it to is a Ghetto Blaster, with dual cassette decks like I used to own. And is it a Ghetto Blaster? No. But!–it’s like a Ghetto Blaster’s smokin’ hot redhead cousin with sun freckles whose wearing tight fitting spandex and, to quote Cyndi Lauper’s song made for the movie The Goonies, it’s good enough for me.There are many songs one can test to ascertain the quality of a speaker. I can think of none better than either Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water or Highway Star. I mean, I’m a heavy metal thunder kinda guy, and let me say, I was JAMMIN’… hard! For thirty bucks, I would rate this a definite 10/10 product. If it was any more expensive, I’d expect more and rate it an 8 or a 9 out of 10, but, I mean, I feel like I’m getting serious VALUE here. It didn’t come with a charger box, but that’s no big deal, hardly anything does anymore. I felt that the USB-C cable included was of high quality. There’s also this microSD card slot on this bad boy, and while I’m sure it handles bigger ones, I only had a 64gb one on hand loaded up with a massive amount of MP3s that cycled free of bluetooth sync by simply pressing and holding the plus or minus buttons for a couple of seconds.Yeah, I don’t even need to fire up my laptop or phone and deal with youtube or spotify’s annoying ads interrupting my flow. Everything I ever downloaded from Napster in the late 90s fit on my SD card and I have not been disappointed by this speaker for even a second since taking it out of the box!Just to be fair, I also played a little rap on it–Biggie Smalls since it had big sound in a small package–and let me tell you, I was still Hypnotized by its quality! If you’re wondering if you should get it, let me give you that little push you might need by saying that first, I don’t review anything, and second I had to give this product a review because it’s that damn good. So, it’s a HARD RECOMMEND from me and unless you really have a hundred plus bucks burning a hole in your pocket to blow on a much better model, this is going to be the best bang for your buck–by a longshot! And don’t forget to pick up an SD card if you don’t already have one. They’re the cassette tape of the future!

6/18/2025: This little bugger has me looking for a new radio. But I will be damned if I donât admit it has been a banger for many trips and may years. 2 main complaints, a notification on my phone throttles the volume and the radio has to be restarted to resume full volume. Itâs also a little quiet on a gas golf cart, WHEN, the cart is petal to the metal. Has been a beast of a radio. Now it is starting to have issues. It has never been submerged in water, but has been wet and has had seen a few sandy beaches as well as a lot of drops. Still a solid 4.5/5 for under $20.6/25/2023 update: This little speaker is still my favorite and withstands abuse from toddlers pushing on the speaker ends, rain, sand, dirt. I use it in the backyard grilling, camping, at the beach. Very good sound for the price. It’s not quite as high quality sound as the JBL flip, but it’s a fraction of the price. And when camping you don’t want to be heard that far away. This was a great purchase.5/20/2022 update: The M6 speaker has survived the beach vacation. It preformed wonderfully as entertainment at the pool, beach, and during golf cart rides everywhere. I had 1 issue, while it was in my beach gear bag I attempted to turn the volume up while blindly pushing buttons. Be careful of that darn phone button, it can switch the device from Bluetooth to Aux input. I had to come back to this page and read about the device features to switch it back to Bluetooth. Love this speaker, I will admit on the beach in the wind with the waves crashing it had to be pretty close to hear the speaker. I’m sure the Tribit MaxSound Plus wouldn’t have that issue but would have weighed multiple times more and cost twice as much. This was hands down the best bang for my buck.Update: I found another negative with this Eduplink M6. I have noticed the USB C to USB C fast charger is incompatible. UBS C to USB works fine. I didn’t deduct a star as I plan to mainly wireless charge our phone so I only need to bring the slow USB charger extra for this speaker. Also within a few weeks I managed to lose the short cable that came with the speaker. Overall still impressed with this speaker.I compared Tribit XSound Go ($31) vs Tribit MaxSound Plus ($50) vs Eduplink M6 ($31), Anker SoundCore ($28). All 4 had a deal, both Tribits & Anker had a coupon and the M6 was on a lightning deal. The M6 punches far above it’s weight class. After watch numerous YouTube videos on the MaxSound Plus I thought for sure it would be perfect, Anker is also mentioned a lot of times.MaxSound Plus is far superior to the XSound Go, now the MaxSound Plus is almost twice the price. But it feels only slightly heavier than the Go, and only slightly larger. If you need the speaker to be smaller I’d recommend looking into the very small options out there. The bass boost and audiobook options on the MaxSound Plus make the sound quality shine compared to the XSound Go.Eduplink M6 is a 360° speaker so comparing to Tribits Stormbox ($100+) would be better but the M6 is priced around XSound Go. The sound isn’t as clear as the Tribit MaxSound Plus. The bass also doesn’t compare to MaxSound Plus which has bass boost capabilities. The M6 is far lighter than either of the Tribit speakers by far, about the same weight as the Anker SoundCore. About half the weight of the MaxSound. But it is slightly bigger than the MaxSound, I think the Anker SoundCore would be about the same size as the Tribit XSound Go but I already returned it so only an estimate.-XSound Go was the smallest of these 3 speakers side by side, Anker very comparable in size.-MaxSound Plus is the loudest-MaxSound Plus has the most clarity-Anker sounds fantastic, it’s no MaxSound Plus, but it’s half the weight and smaller.-M6 will float, Anker also is supposed to float but not drivers up.-M6 is 360° so it sounds the same on every side-M6 has RGB lighting effects “party lights”-M6 arrived with a cosmetic defect-Anker does NOT have a cover for the charger port, only 1 with the old micro-USB cable-Tribit and Eduplink all have a cover for the charge port, USB-C-Tribit cover is easier to open, better design-All 4 have auxiliary port, all but Anker came with Aux cord.-All 4 say 20+ hours of battery life. It took me 3 days to drain the MaxSound Plus.I’m leaning towards keeping the Eduplink M6 because I need a beach speaker. The XSound Go doesn’t stand a chance in this race. Anker SoundCore would be a top contender IF it had a cover on the charger port. The real comparison is between M6 and MaxSound Plus. Both are plenty loud enough, MaxSound Plus has better clarity and much better bass. The M6 feels half the weight, the woven material on the M6 and silicone ends make me think it will do better keeping the sand out. The front of the MaxSound Plus has holes and if the speaker is knocked in the sand I fear it may get sand on the drivers. The M6 was almost half the price. The M6 feels like you could throw it and withstand damage better, pure speculation. If the Tribit MaxSound Plus speaker was lighter it would be my new beach speaker. I am keeping the M6 as I already have to carry a beach tent, towels, sand castle toys, & a toddler. The weight played the major deciding factor for me. Anker could have been a top contender but dropped the ball on the outdated charger port and no cover.Anker does have an upgraded version the SoundCore 2, WITH a charger and aux port cover, however still micro USB charger, also mentions a bass up feature however it’s currently $40 without a coupon. If it was USB-C I’d give it a chance.Anker Soundcore is the cheapest option of the 4 and the Anker Soundcore does sound better than the Eduplink M6 from the front. The Anker gets louder and has better clarity than the Eduplink. I fear the micro-usb charger failing especially having it on the beach sitting in the sand. I will keep the Eduplink M6, because the USB-C charger plus being a covered port so sand won’t play a factor.
