Uncomplicated, near-instant recording when you need it
After my doctor suggested I get a heart monitor to keep an eye on my arrhythmia and showed me his Apple watch’s ECG app, I tried various options that turned out to be fiddly, not up to the job, or just too focused on sport applications, as well as giving me data privacy concerns. I’m glad I finally found the Emay device. It has two big advantages over the others I tried:* Speed and ease of deployment â as most of us with arrhythmias find out, recording the heart having its funny five minutes can be a challenge, even if you’re wired up to a multi-lead ECG for 24 hours. It often doesn’t misbehave when you need it to. But you can keep the Emay to hand and start it recording in seconds with one press when you have an episode, without needing to mess around with a phone, plug it in, or struggle to hold it in the right position.* Privacy â you can transfer results directly via the USB cable to your desktop and create a printable file. Patient data is worth money to the health industry and I don’t want to be obliged to surrender mine to unknown servers or systems that rely on tech giants’ assurances that it’s safe in their hands. The Emay is the only suitable portable device I’ve found that enables me to choose. You don’t have to be permanently connected to anything and you don’t have to e-mail your data if you prefer not to (not all doctors use a secure mail system, alas,) so well done to the company for giving customers that option. It’s more than just useful for people who find it difficult to use a smartphone for whatever reason.Other plus points:* The description says you can download PC software, but they do mean Macs as well. The desktop app is clear, simple, and easy to use.* Being able to apply the device to different areas of your body and not just rely on a two-handed grip is another useful feature I haven’t seen on other devices. Great for limited dexterity.* The display is easy to see and understand, and you can change the screen/ button orientation to a position that suits you â vertical or horizontal, button on left or right, etc.* Quick to charge.* Easy to keep in your pocket and use discreetly when you’re out and about.And yes, it did catch my arrhythmia. It’s not designed to monitor continuously like a wearable device, so it’s not going to warn me when my heart rhythm’s playing up, but I don’t need telling when that happens. I’m really pleased with this gadget and it’s worth the money.

Great product. Gives peace of mind whilst also alerting the user to potential issues.
This is an excellent product. It works well and is so much easier to use than other such products on the market. It’s a handy size, holds it’s charge well and is accurate in it’s readings. The hard carry case available for this is also great quality and protects the machine well, with additional space for the charging cable. A handy caribiner clip also makes it easy to carry. There was an offer for a discount off the case in the manual and, on applying for it, I received a prompt reply and the case was with me very quickly. I found the staff member assisting me to be extremely friendly and professional. I would highly recommend both EMAY and this portable ECG monitor. The app is easy to use and provides your Cardiologist, A&E, whoever you need to share it with, accurate and up to date results and it certainly provides peace of mind with ongoing monitoring for yourself. Really useful and a very good price. Thank you!

Excellent ECG monitor
I’m really pleased with this compact ECG monitor. The user manual is easy to understand and gives clear concise intructions. You can see your heart’s activity in real time on the screen or you can download the results to your computer or smartphone using the USB cable provided. Definitely worth the money.

Worth the upgrade
I already have the standard EMAY ECG monitor and was going to buy one for my father who has recently had a minor stroke due to irregular heart beat. I then came across the Bluetooth version and thought I’d give it a go instead.The items came really well packaged. On opening it’s packed like a high quality phone.It can be used straight away by simply turning it on and holding it as instructed (between your palms or fingers).The old version by default gave a very short reading, you had to connect it to a computer to change it.This new one by default takes a 30 second reading which is far better.The phone app isn’t required as the device gives instant analysis after the 30 seconds, but it could be useful for sharing readings with a doctor.The App can be downloading from Google Play, the one complaint I have is the permissions required by the phone app. It shouldn’t need access to my contacts, location, media etc…Once installed the App is very easy to use, connecting the device to my phone via Bluetooth was straight forward, simply open the app and turn on the device and they connect, once connected the reading are transferred to the phones app automatically.Readings can then be exported to pdf’s on the phone app and shared via email.Overall I’m very happy with the device, and I would recommend it over the non-Bluetooth version for it’s default settings and for the ability to share reports with ease.The following is the review I wrote for the original non-Bluetooth version, all of the below applies to this one aswell.Anyone who’s previously suffered with Arrhythmia should have one of these. Every muscle strain or minor chest pain makes you paranoid that it’s back, you don’t want to be repeatedly going to the doctor for ECGs when it’s nothing but at the same time you are really paranoid that it is something. This device is so good at putting your mind at ease, it’s simple to use and is really easy to operate. It gives a clear reading and can also be connected to a computer to view and print the actual trace if there is something detected.For me it always detects Bradycardia as my heart rate is always around 45bpm (I run marathons).I was a then a bit worried that because it detected Bradycardia each time that it would only display that and wouldn’t display anything else. I email the company and got a very quick response to inform me it will display up to 3 issues.This is a must have for home health monitoring along with a Blood Pressure Monitor

It does what it says.
It easily captures a single ECG lead very simply and efficiently. It provides a 30second rhythm strip. Unfortunately it does not recognise Atrial Fibrillation but is easy to recognise manually. Does not need connection to anything else to work. Battery lasts for many recordings. ECGs can easily be downloaded by the app over Bluetooth connection. They can be viewed or emailed on. Does what is needed for a fair price and can capture ECG quickly and simply without needing anything else.

Da ich immer mal wieder nachts Rhythmusstörungen habe, die von selber wieder aufhörten, konnte bisher noch nie ein EKG geschrieben werden, um die Art zu diagnostizieren. Also hat mir der Kardiologe, den ich deshalb endlich aufsuchte, so ein Gerät empfohlen. Und es hat geklappt. Dank einer Aufzeichnung während eines Anfalls konnte endlich die Ursache gefunden werden.Das Gerät ist recht einfach zu handhaben. Und trotz geringer Englischkenntnisse klappte die Installation der HandyApp und die Einrichtung problemlos. Ich lege allerdings eine Messstelle des Gerätes direkt in Herzhöhe auf den Brustkorb und auf die andere Messstelle kommt dann ein Zeigefinger. Die Aufzeichnung ist dadurch deutlicher. Man braucht ein bisschen Ãbung um während der Aufzeichnung so gut wie möglich stillzuhalten. Was die Auswertung durch das Gerät angeht: Bitte nicht überbewerten, sondern diese dem Arzt überlassen. Bei verwackelten Aufzeichnungen z. B. wird schon mal eine falsche Diagnose gestellt. Zusätzlich zur App habe ich mir noch die Software für den PC kostenlos von der Firmenhomepage heruntergeladen. Damit kann man PDF Dateien erstellen und diese per email an den behandelnden Arzt senden.Ich kann das Gerät uneingeschränkt empfehlen

Consegna Amazon Fantastica come al solito, per l’apparecchio devo dire che funziona. Ho provato su me stesso e su altre persone e per il momento sembra affidabile. Ovviamente nessuna di questa ha delle patologie accertate e quindi è difficile dire su l’apparecchio è affidabile, ma visto il costo e il semplice utilizzo potrebbe essere un aiuto per chi come me a volte soffre d’ansia. Importantissimi !!!!! Ricordatevi comunque che non è uno strumento che può sostituire il cardiologo.

Appareil acquis pour dépister un trouble du rythme non détecté par holter…Mon cardio conseille les montres connectées mais j’ ai préféré avoir un appareil plus spécialisé et je suis très satisfaite. Utilisation simple, permettant d’ enregistrer, d’ éditer voire de transmettre directement l’ ECG à un médecin ou dossier Doctolib.Technologie surprenante pour ce petit appareil. Attention, il ne remplace pas un avis médical mais il est une aide précieuse.Je le recommande. Je regrette juste que pour le prix, il n’ y ait pas la housse de transport incluse.
