A neat and high quality looking RCA/Phono cable but I’d prefer individually screened.
This is a professional-looking phono cable. The connectors are gold-plated and colour coded red and white for Right and Left channels. The cable has a braided black and brown jacket and the moulded strain reliefs at each connector appear sturdy, although not particularly flexible.The cable works perfectly well in use, however this is the first stereo phono cable that I’ve seen where the two split R+L wires at the ends are combined into a single round cable for most of the length. Without cutting it apart it’s impossible to tell how well individually screened the R and L separate wires are. (In a traditional “figure 8” construction cable it’s pretty obvious that each channel has its own “coaxial” connection with a separate shield.) In this case I measured the resistance and noted that all four connector “outers” are connected together via some kind of overall shield in the main length of the cable, so it’s possible that this may be slightly more susceptible to crosstalk between the L and R channels than a cable of mode traditional construction.I’m pretty sure only an “audiophile” would be able to detect such a thing, but I think it’s worth mentioning.Anyway, apart from that it’s a perfectly functional cable.

Good quality RCA audio cable
These are good quality cables from EMK. Two x RCA connectors at each end, ideal for connecting audio kit. It is essentially a single braided cable through the middle that splits into two toward each end.The cable is a good thickness, good shielding, braided and with strain relief boots on each connector. The only niggle is that left and right channels are indicated by the colour of the EMK logo on each connector, so this might be a pit of a pain if you are working around the back of a stack of HIFI equipment.Good 2 metre length, single stand of cable is noticeably thicker than some other similarly priced cables that I use.
