It’s cheap and it works.
This is a very simple device to set up. You simply plug an output HDMI cable into your TV/monitor, and plug up to three input HDMI cables into your devices. There is also a USB power connector, which you can just plug into the TV you’re using this with.Operation is similarly simple. It has a physical button on the device which cycles between the three inputs, in addition to a remote which seems effective enough so long as the front of the device is facing you.I haven’t experienced any issues with the devices I’ve used, and for both gaming and office functions it works well. If you’re looking for a cheap way to expand the number of devices you can have plugged into your TV at any one time, this just might be your huckleberry.

I have three computer sources, home computer and two laptops (for work) and I have three monitors.I wanted a way to selectively switch between all sources, enabling 1, 2 or 3 for each device, so I bought three of these and havenรขยยt been disappointed. Iรขยยve mounted them below a monitor shelf that houses each of the monitors and they all perform EXACTLY as I wanted them to.They have an indicator for which source is active and also automatically switch to a new source when itรขยยs switched on.I only have one tiny (and I mean minuscule) grumble and that is the red power light. I know thereรขยยs power because thereรขยยs a green light. The red light is illuminated even when the units are not externally powered (as mine are) so are unnecessary in my opinion and theyรขยยre pretty bright! Iรขยยve covered mine with a small bit of black tape.I have no need for the remote so I canรขยยt comment. But if you have a setup like mine I heartily recommend.

Works well using the remote
Bought this to switch between an AppleTV and a PVR TV unit, replacing a manual switched version. In all it works well, the remote does exactly what you’d expect and allows us to switch easily between the two sources.I’m a bit disappointed in the “auto” function it claims as it doesn’t work in the way I’d expected. With the AppleTV on source 2 and the PVR on source 1 you’d expect the unit to switch to the AppleTV when the PVR is in standby mode – it doesn’t. Neither does it auto switch to the PVR when you turn the PVR on having manually switched to source 2. The only “auto” it does is switch to source 1 if you turn the AppleTV off – even of the PVR is off. So, if you need the auto to work, best stay clear but as a remote control it works fine.

I bought this to connect 3 devices (Freeview PVR, Roku box and a BluRay player) to a single HDMI port on our TV.Initially, everything worked as anticipated, with no loss of sound or picture quality. I used HDMI 2.1 cables for all connections – including 2 very short (8″) ones – for adjacent devices.There are 3 modes of operation:-(1) Automatic – with the box switching input when a connected device is powered on.(2) Manual – via the button on the front panel.(3) My preferred method – using the remote control.The remote works well as long as there is line of sight to the switch.Powering the switch is optional. I used the power cable that was in the box and plugged it into an unused USB port on the rear of the TV.Unfortunately, things then went downhill rather rapidly…..Watching say, a film via PLEX on our Roku box, playback would be interrupted every few minutes by a prolonged flicker. Also, the box would occasionally change the input device for no apparent reason. All rather annoying……..I believe this is due to the auto-switch function of the device being too sensitive. Alas, this particular box does not allow the user to disable this feature.So, I have returned the device and ordered an alternative (which does allow the user to disable auto-switching). A number of HDMI switches with this capability are available on Amazon. Alas, they are a tad more expensive.

This HDMI splitter was bought so that I could add my Nintendo Switch to my TV system. All of my HDMI ports were full so I needed another solution.This splitter arrived in a fairly simple package and was set up in a few seconds. the great thing is that it automatically switches HDMI ports so I really don’t need to do anything. I simply set it up and then left it alone.The splitter can run without any power, but I have connected mine to a power supply using the included USB-C lead. The remote control is basic but works and doesn’t need to be anything more than basic. I haven’t used it very much as everything works how I need it to automatically.I would recommend this HDMI splitter for anyone that needs to add more devices than they have ports for. It is good value for money and does exactly what it is supposed to do without any fuss.

It works just as intended, allowing me to switch between 3 devices on a TV with limited inputs. The best part is, it is “smart” …. It automatically detected signals and switches between them, so I’ve never actually used the remote. I assume that it might be necessary if I were running all 3 connected devices at the same time, but since they all share a display I can never see that happening unless there’s overlap between what I’m doing moment to moment.Very satisfied.
