Great little smart plug
The quality of this plug is perfect as I can see I’m no electrician so can’t give my full review on that.Easy to set up takes about 5 minutes to do the app will walk you through the steps.Personally I find the product very useful as you can track the amount of electric you use.you can see all this live from the app and with the cost of living going up this is a great way to monitor what you use it also has a feature where it can turn itself off/on to whatever time it’s set at.It’s also Alexa compatible so can be controlled by voice easy’ish set up

Slicker options available but does the job
Bought to use for automated timers and energy monitoring.Does the job and easy to use. Good value for money.Only drawbacks are that there are others with more polished apps and ecosystem (eg tapo) – we purchased this as the upside of Knightsbridge devices is that they make very good value wifi sockets and outdoor sockets.Also the manually operated power switch is on the side of the plug and if you have a big plug next to it you canât access it.Energy monitoring gives total for the day only (others do hourly)

Brilliant little smart plug. Alexa integration is flawless
This is a nice, simple to setup smart plug. I have a few Amazon smart plugs which are great, but I bought this one because it had energy monitoring. I was hoping it would integrate with Alexa fully, and not require it’s own app or any special commands to be said to Alexa. Happily, this does integrate fully, and works as seamlessly as my Amazon smart plugs. There is a separate app which will be needed for initial setup, and also if you want to read energy usage or set up some automation. But if you’re just after a way to ask Alexa to turn the plug on and off, you don’t actually need this. Very nice too that the plug appears alongside my Amazon plugs in the Alexa app. Very impressed, and for a great price too. Oh, and it’s also rated higher than your 13A plugs in your home, so no problems using it with high power devices. Recommended.

Didn’t pair, or work for me
I couldn’t pair this using the maker’s app, nor Google home automation as suggested, either manually or automatically. I wanted it to monitor and turn plug on/off remotely, as suggested by someone who had done it in exactly the same way as my plan. I even turned my router into 2.5g only, but still no good. It doesn’t appear to pair using Bluetooth even. Have tried so many times now, I’ve given up. Not sure if it’s too late to return but if not, then I’ll be returning.

Very reliable, great value with energy monitoring
I bought this for the energy monitoring feature as I wanted to see how much energy my hot tub was using on a daily basis. I have had this running outside, shielded from the rain, but generally exposed to the elements for well over a year and I still works flawlessly. The only additional feature I would like with this would be to monitor energy usage by the hour, I can only currently measure by day. Other than that this is a great smart plug that I works really well with both Alexa and google home

I bought 2, 1 has failed after 2 years
I was initially happy with my purchase after buying 2 plugs to mainly power off TVs and other equipment at night. One has failed after approx 2 years which is disappointing as I have many older smart plugs from other brands still working reliably. I probably wont buy again.

Great plug but difficult to set up
This is my third plug which I bought so as to be able to use the same app (SmartKnight) as for the previous two. They have been reliable over the last year or so and easy to change schedule times etc.Started setting up the new plug 3 following manual instructions as the plug wasn’t discovered automatically in the app, and spent hours getting no connection no matter which method EZ or APAlmost given up but thought i would try one more thing before returning the item.So I switched off the two existing plugs and was then able to get plug 3 connected.Instructions refer to connecting to plug hotspot which did not appear until I turned off the two existing plugs
