A Reliable and Simple Power Control Solution
It is a well-designed and practical solution for controlling heavy-duty appliances in both residential and commercial settings. Right out of the box, it gives off a modern and clean look, thanks to its sleek screwless plastic cover plate. The smooth finish blends well with contemporary interiors, making it a discreet yet stylish addition to any wall. Functionality is where this switch truly shines. With its 20A double-pole design, it provides a higher level of safety and power isolation compared to standard light switches. This makes it especially suitable for heavy-duty appliances such as water heaters, ovens, and other high-powered devices. The 1-gang, 1-way configuration keeps things simple, ensuring itâs easy to install and operate without unnecessary complexity. Another standout feature is the screwless cover plate, which not only enhances the aesthetics but also makes installation and maintenance more convenient. The cover clicks neatly into place, giving the switch a clean finish while reducing visible hardware. This design also minimizes dust collection around screws, contributing to a neat and hygienic appearance over time. In terms of safety and reliability, the UKCA certification provides reassurance that the switch meets strict safety and compliance standards. The double-pole mechanism adds an extra layer of protection by isolating both live and neutral connections, which is essential for handling high-power appliances safely. This makes it an excellent choice for homeowners and electricians who prioritize durability and compliance with regulations.Overall, it combines functionality, safety, and style in one compact package. Its modern design, heavy-duty capabilities, and certification make it a solid investment for those needing a dependable switch for high-power applications. Whether for new installations or upgrades, itâs a product that delivers both peace of mind and a polished appearance.

Novel design
This looks in most respects like a bog-standard wall light switch, but with one subtle difference – there are no exposed screws on the outside. This is achieved by having a removable front plate under which the screw holes can be found. So you unclip the front, fit the switch and screw it to the back box, and then clip on the front. Now I’ve never been particularly bothered by the presence of screws on my switches, but maybe people are!In all other respects, it looks to be well-made and equivalent to what you might get from a brand such as MK.

Clean-Look Switch That Handles the Oven Safely
I fitted this 20A double-pole switch for an electric oven, and it does exactly what it shouldâprovides a reliable way to fully cut power, both live and neutral, with a solid click you can trust. Itâs one of those behind-the-scenes upgrades that makes a big difference in peace of mind. The screwless faceplate looks sharp in the kitchen, blending neatly with modern appliances and tiles. It feels much sleeker than the old chunky switch it replaced, and itâs easy to wipe clean when splashes inevitably happen. Why it works well for the oven setup:Double-pole safety: Shuts off all current to the oven, not just the live feed. Thatâs reassuring when carrying out cleaning or maintenance.High capacity (20A): Built to handle the heavier load that kitchen appliances demand.Sturdy feel: The switch engages with a firm, confident action, not flimsy at all.Modern look: The flush, screwless design gives the wall a tidy, updated feelâmuch better suited to a kitchen where details matter.Heads-Up:Itâs a bit larger internally than a standard switch, so make sure your wall box has enough depth and wiring slack. As with any high-current connection, itâs worth double-checking the terminations are tight and that the right wire gauge is used.Pro Tip: When installing near the oven, try to place the switch where itâs easy to reach without bending or stretchingâso you can cut the power quickly if needed.Best For: Kitchen setups with ovens, hobs, or any heavy-draw appliance where safety and clean looks both matter.

A high quality 20 A switch with no viewable fixing screws
A high quality product usually used as an isolating switch and rated at 20 amps but can be used as a light switch if required. This product has hidden fixing screws behind the removable front plate and a metal plate is used for the fixings which is unusual as these switches are usually mostly plastic. This only adds to the strength and quality of the product. The screw terminals are smaller in size than a mains socket but usually only one conductor at 2.5 mm squared is needed in each terminal for an isolation switch so plenty of room. The switch is easy to turn off and on and the front plate is easy to remove by using a bladed screwdriver in the two lower holes to prise it off. Re-fitting is easy by first clipping the top edge in position followed by the bottom edge. No earth terminal is provided in the isolation switch as presumably deemed unnecessary because no metal screws are present on the front plate. Fixing screws are provided to fix the switch to a pattress box.

Looks very neat. Good isolation.
This is a very neat looking switch, and easy to install. The back plate is metal which is screwed into the wall and the plastic cover just clips over the top. It’s double pole, so switches both live and neutral (as shown on the back, L/N in and L/N out. There’s no earth connector on the plate, so the screws in the back box have to provide the earthing – unless you’re using a plastic box in plasterboard, then there’s no earthing for it and you’re relying on the clip on plate to provide insulation.Switches smoothly and feels very nice. Top price though.
