ordered a few of these, because the standard type/brand i purchase was not available, thought the wider footprint would allow more stability with out installing casters, to stand on floor with out bolting- we dont bolt to floor so you can move rack slightly around for better access to equipment.in the small closets made into a network room,,hahaha,,unit is a good quality, but it didnt make note that the rack mounting holes are not standard threaded holes for screws, it has the square holes, that you have to install the snap in nuts, having square type holes that requires installing the nuts, will make it more difficult to install equipment,, will need to hold the equipment up to rack, make note of what holes need nuts, then remove and insert the nuts, then put back in to mount..also, the frame is not standard, so any bracket that utilizes screws in front and back, -shelf’s, etc– wont work, because the side rails are much larger than normalit is a good quality metal frame, and comes with all the needed nuts and screws to assemble and install equipment. i just didnt install the casters, I put on floor, very stable and solid.

I have purchased several of these racks for different projects. They are very sturdy and come with all the necessary hardware. I use them to mount switches, routers, patch panels, and a couple of shelves. I usually anchor them directly to the concrete for security, but the included casters also work well. What I really like about this rack is that it includes a lot of the mounting screws that would normally spend another $20 for. The side rails work perfectly for cable management there are several exit out on the outside portion and are completely open on the inside facing side. If I install larger pieces of hardware, I usually put a shelf one either side to displace the weight evenly. Granted I haven’t installed a full size server, but I think with the shelves on either side it shouldn’t be a problem to set a 1 or 2U server ( I wouldn’t recommend it).

This is a VERY nice rack! I like that you can either bolt to the floor or use the provided casters. The instructions need to be updated, it said self taping screws and we used bolts provided. Also, better detail of the pictures on the instructions. Since I had put other racks together, I figured this rack out pretty quick. Overall, great solid rack!!
