A little GUY with a big PUNCH.
Just started using this little guy. For the size and price this is a must have purchase for on the go sounds. It has a great sound but of course not massive volume, but more than you’d think considering the size. The quality is amazing though, so much so I am going to order another one of these for those stereo moments. The battery life is a big positive factor also as it seems to never want to run out. It is easy to use and pair, basically Bluetooth pair and away you go.

Charging port not aligned properly
The charging port wasn’t aligned in the device properly unfortunately. But sound quality was good, good value for a Sony product and easy to connect.

I am really knocked out by these. I have bought two now, one for the bedroom and one for the car. Connect to your phone with bluetooth on and Spotify is a breeze. Battery charge lasts a long time, easy to charge with the supplied USB-C cable. I am really impressed with the sound. Despite it’s diminutive size, the sound is full and the bass is sonorous. Sound easily fills my (small) living room or bedroom. Good quality Sony build quality. Best standalone bluetooth speaker I’ve used and excellent value for money.

Tinny sound, much inferior to JBL
I bought this looking for something small and light to use in the car and take on holiday. Sony are usually reliable, but this speaker is dreadful. Tinny, quiet sound with little bass, it sounds horrible on all types of music. I quickly sent it back and bougfht a JBL Clip5, which is just incredible, a completely different beast entirely with an absolutely massive sound, so don’t waste your money on this inferior product.

The lack of an aux port as compared to the previous (now harder to buy) iteration is a major flaw for this product.For what it’s worth, it’s definitely able to take a few hard knocks. The lanyard strap came undone whilst hanging off a sling bag, when descending the stairs, causing the speaker to take a tumble onto the hard concrete stairs. Apart from that permanent nick, and some dust, the speaker was unaffected.This speaker does not have “low latency”, due to the Bluetooth profiles it supports, nor a low latency mode.

Nothing to complain about just that the sound on these small speakers is tinny.Better getting something twice as large because the base response and power is worth the upgrade.If you care about your sound don’t bother with this and get a bigger one.

Esta nueva versión se ve más estética, su material es más agradable al tacto y su tamaño la hace muy portable. En relación con el modelo anterior, la SRS-XB12, tengo la sensación que el volumen es más bajo. Mejora la versión de Bluetooth y el alcance. Ampliamente recomendable. No es compatible con la aplicación de Sony Music Center.
