Good solid shelf
Very solid shelf. It was quite a pain to place in the cabinet by myself but once do it is very solid. The shelf runners can adjust to enable you to fit into a range of cabinets just not though though that they adjustments can only be done prior to fitting.

Awful design and a total nightmare to get into a 19″ rack. the bolts are the wrong way around and need to be moved so as to enable bolting into the cage nuts. Nearly took a sledge hammer to the thing.

This Startech Server Rack Shelf is durable and strong. Holds anything I put on it. It’s a four-post shelf and has strong support in each corner. I purchased three of them for a recent server rack project, and previously purchased two of them for a different project. I recommend it.

As always the StarTech.com products are superb in quality. This is probably stronger than what is advertised to be, which is 250lbs. Came with the M5 rack rail screws so you can set it up right out of the box.

Das Produkt ist ein gutes Beispiel dafür was herauskommt, wenn der “Konstrukteur” sein eigenes Produkt offensichtlich nie versucht hat selbst einzubauen. Der Platz hinter den Ãsen reicht für die Muttern des Racks (bei mir Rittal-Markenware!) und der Muttern für die variable Länge nicht aus. Die Lösung ist die seitlichen Muttern erst nach der Montage fest anzuziehen, was in einer Serverumgebung kaum zu realisieren ist. Das wäre dem Produkt-“Konstrukteur” sicher auch aufgefallen, wenn er nur probiert hätte sein eigenes Produkt zu Testzwecken zu montieren.
Also mein Fazit: Finger weg von diesem Produkt und besser gleich ein “Original” einsetzen. Das spart Zeit und Nerven.

The product is a good example of what comes out when the “designer” obviously never tried to install his own product him-/herself. The space behind the eyelets is not enough for the nuts of the rack (in my case Rittal brand!) and the nuts for the variable length. The solution is to tighten the side nuts only after mounting, which is hardly possible in a server environment. The product “designer” would certainly have noticed this if he/she had only tried to mount his/her own product even for test purposes.
So my conclusion: Hands off this product and better use an “original”. This saves time and keeps you calmed.
