At time of review, the RRP is รยฃ31, the offer price is รยฃ23, and there’s a voucher to bring the price down to รยฃ19. So, at รยฃ19 this product is five stars. Probably still worth it at full price, just I don’t have need as many as fiver remote plugs.I only wanted remote switches for lamps, so didn’t want or need anything that uses and app.My living room has two doors, one of which leads through to the bedrooms, the light switches for the room are by the other door. I can now go to bed without needing a torch to leave my living room, and the same remote control can be used to turn on a lamp in my bedroom: one remote on a table by that living room door.The remote plugs are a bit bulky, probably about the same as one of those cube shaped adapters. Installation was easy, the only issue I had was getting the right kind of press on the plug, to make the light flash. Still only took a few seconds to get set up. That’s when I noticed a bit of a “click” from the remote plug as it turns on and off.The instructions say that the receiver (which I’ve been calling a plug) has five memory settings, this seems to imply that up to five plugs can be linked to one remote control, meaning you could have two receivers controlled by one button.The feel of all the plastics used is ok, but not great. That seems to be the way these days: products are more cheaply made to keep the prices down, and I have to say, even at full price, you’re getting a lot for your money.

Used for Christmas lights and worked perfectly. All the plugs were in one area for me and I haven’t tested it out elsewhere in the house yet. Great value compared to the bigger brands.

At first, they didnรขยยt seem bad รขยย I found them comfortable and easy to use. However, over time I started to have doubts about how practical they really are for everyday use. I find it a bit inconvenient to use two separate remotes and not have a smart system for automatic on/off or a timer. The lack of a dedicated app is also a drawback

Useful for those who wants a bit of advancement but finds smart plugs too complicated
The set comes with 5 Plugs and 2 remote controllers. All plugs have a 13A fuse, so they can be used with most household electric items. This might not be a suitable item for people who use smart plugs, but for those who don’t, it might be a good one to enhance the on/off function by using a remote controller. My parents who are not a fan of smart items, they find them useful. They mainly use it for the lightings at home, such as floor lamps, Xmas trees etc… They can sit on sofa and switch things on using a remote control instead of walking towards it to turn it on. The remote controller works on disc battery. It can control up to 3 plugs on one remote and the distance can be up to 30 meters. I only managed to test it up to 5-6 meters distance as my house is not that big and it seems to work well. The setup is simple, I’ve deployed 3 plugs so far and my parents finds them useful.

Really handy if youรขยยve got lamps or appliances tucked behind furniture where plugs are awkward to reach. Set-up was straightforwardรขยยjust plug them in and youรขยยre off. The remotes are simple to use and have a decent range, easily working from across the room or even through a wall or two. Each socket can be controlled individually, which is a nice touch if you want to switch certain things off without affecting the others. Great for anyone wanting a bit more convenience without faffing with smart home apps. Not a life-changer, but definitely makes day-to-day a bit smoother.

Good safety features for children. Range is reliable, fiddly battery fitting
I really like this set of five rem,ote control sockets. I have made a short video f one of these to illustrate the operation of the safety gate, as well as the general overall size in comparison to a plug. I personally think they are very discreet and work well.The child safety gate works well. My video shows the neutral and live terminals fully covered and opening only when the earth prong is inserted. This is how they are made to work and stops any item coming into the live and neutral connections without the earth prong opening the gates.I like the ability to program each socket receiver to any remote button number. Also I can link each remote socket to one button, up to 5 sockets to just one button. I can also create any combination of button connections to the remotes. This does bring quite a lot more flexibility to the system.I also tested the range: from two flights of stairs up in the building, the remote operated reliably, turning on and off each time I tested this. One thing I did not like is opening the battery compartment requires a tiny screwdriver, plus the contact separation plastic is BENEATH the CR 2023 battery.I would have to say this is not a bad thing, especially if you have children and really want to keep that battery compartment safe. However the plastic insert to separate the battery contacts is usually a thing card that I can pull out, not a hidden see through plastic dist under the battery. (See photo showing the plastic disc under screwdriver tip)Overall, a good remote control set. Good safety features, compact and reliable range. I don’t like that battery compartment issue, although I do understand it’s part of the child safety and non tampering features of the product.

convenient control
Setting these up around the flat was straightforward. I now have the ability to switch lamps on and off from the sofa, which is particularly handy during these darker evenings. I’ve found the stated operating distance to be accurate throughout the downstairs area. No issues with connectivity so far, and they feel reasonably well-made. It’s a simple solution for added convenience.
