Multi-Functional Date Cable Tester – VCELINK rj45 cable tester GJ468 checks the continuity, disorder or short of your RJ45 Cat5/Cat5E/Cat6/Cat6A/Cat7 LAN cable and RJ11 telephone cable, making sure you have your network wiring done correctly.
Used in Long Distance – The MASTER unit and REMOTE unit of the rj45 tester can be separated by a slide, so you can check the cable from both sides which saves quite a bit of walking for larger installations and long cables.
Easy to Use & Simply Test – You can check whether the LEDs flash sequentially to make sure wires are in the right sequence. The S button for displaying LEDs slowly helps you figure out the faulty cable exactly. The G light on the ethernet tester can quickly determine if the cables is shielded or not.

Identifies cable faults well
This tester does identify cable faults. If you’ve made your own ethernet cables (or just renewed a plug) it will show if some wires aren’t properly connected or if they’re in the wrong order, but you do need to be able to see both ends. I used it to check a cable already in place between two rooms on different floors, so I needed someone to read out what they were seeing on the other end. It was a sequence error so we needed to be on mobile phones to discuss sequence we were both seeing.It works well and is fairly easy to use so is good value for money

CCTV at home stopped working suddenly, wasnât sure if camera was faulty or the Ethernet cable was a fault. Camera location and wiring was to difficult to access and would have took many hours to diagnose so decided to purchase this for assistance.Arrived quickly and tested straight away with known working cable to check what results I should get.Tested suspected faulty cable and showed no2 as a faulty wire which ment the camera was on and the cable was the issue, investigated outside cable and found one of the RJ45 connector pin had shorted out the wire, replaced connector and worked perfectly.Saved me time excellent product!

Wish Iâd bought it sooner!
I paid an electrician for a full rewire including phone lines and network. Nothing special or complicated, just wanted to hardwire 2 tvs and an Xbox in 3 separate rooms. Openreach had to come out and fix the phone line and he checked the ADSL sockets for me, said it wasnât going to work and that it wasnât on his job sheet to fix. I bought some kit to refit the plugs and checked the sockets and it all looked ok to me. I saw DIY Guy on YouTube who detailed wiring in your own net at home and realised it was probably a problem I could fix myself so I bought this whizzy little gadget, checked the line to one of the tv screens and it showed two wires not working. On closer inspection with my phone on 3x zoom I could see why. Without this bit of kit we would still have needed to use WiFi and keep having to reset the tv. Itâs all up and running now and Iâm very pleased with this purchase. I feel confident enough to help my kids in their homes if they need. Useful as theyâre both tech heads 🙂

Poor quality
For such a simple device, the quality is poor. Both my Father and I ended up wasting time on a couple of projects before we discovered this device is faulty and giving erroneous readings. I am not sure how long it lasted or if it ever perfectly worked but at 2 years old it is ready for landfill and I am back to using the multimeter!

Per chi non lo fa’ di mestiere, la creazione di cavi ethernet spesso diventa fastidiosa, si possono fare errori sia di crimpaggio che di sequenza dei cavi. Con questo economicissimo tester, è possibile controllare i cavi da ambo i lati del cavo esempio in appartamento monti lo slave e sul tetto ti porti il master, accendi, e subito ti rendi conto se il cavo è realizzato correttamente. Per la cifra pagata, non posso che essere soddisfatto.
