I have 4x devices but only 3x ports: Works as advertised, nothing fancy, very simple to hook up. Be aware that it needs a USB power source, luckily my main Ethernet hub had a spare USB socket.Seems to run warm, so keep out of direct sunlight as I could see it getting hot.

Plastic ethernet clips within the device ports broke during installation but still works fine with use of the cable ties provided to “Fix” the issue of the cable not clipping in (Due to broken plastic)To other buyers I’d say be careful with installation.

having tried other products that are “similar” but when looking closely, DO NOT allow 2 PC to actively use the same ethernet cable at the same time, this one instead WORKS. I have my desktop PC and my work laptop side by side, running both through the same cable, to a Powerline Ethernet Extender (also from Amazon), and now i get the full speed on either system.1. the box has a *short*, 1m cable that need to plug in to your PC (or anything else that can supply USB power). This is annoying, however there are many home socket plugs that have USB on them, get one and you should be able to double-purpose the plug as power for the Powerline connector, AND for the splitter.2. they have a max speed of 1000Mbps. Yeah i mean, my connection caps at 80Mbps so *i doubt* it will ever be a problem.3. you DO NOT get a ethernet cable in the pack. Just buy one from amazon, Cat6 or Cat7 are equally viable, Cat6 has a max rate that’s way above what any normal connection can supply.

Este switch es perfecto si tienes dos dispositivos (en mi caso, un PC y una consola) pero solo un cable de red llegando al escritorio. Con este aparatito, cambias entre ellos sin tener que andar enchufando y desenchufando cada vez.La velocidad de transferencia es estable, sin caÃdas ni pérdidas (sÃ, va a 1000Mb como promete), y no necesita alimentación externa, lo cual es una bendición para no llenar más enchufes.El diseño es discreto, compacto, y parece más robusto de lo que esperaba por el precio. Ideal si solo necesitas algo funcional y sin florituras. No hace milagros, pero cumple con creces. Y por cierto: si pensabas que un switch te iba a complicar la vida, este te la simplifica.
