Excellent webcam.
This is an excellent webcam. I’m a Program Manager for Microsoft and I live in Teams all day long. Several years ago I switched from the built-in webcam in my laptop to an external camera mounted at my eyeline to improve the video call experience – being able to make eye contact, not having a view of up my nose etc! I have used a bunch of cameras, with the last one being the fairly expensive Logitec C920.My daughter is going off to university soon so I wanted to buy her a decent webcam and tried out this Vitade – for the price I wasn’t expecting perfection but reviews were good.I’ve been using it for a week and my feedback is:* The ringlight is much more useful than I thought it would be, even in daylight. It provides some nice fill-in light and catchlights in the eyes. I haven’t used it in pitch darkness as the only source of light yet as, well, I work in the daytime. It’s easily adjustable and comes in 3 colour temps but I’ve left it at full brightness and daylight. The way the light comes on when the camera is active is also a nice visual reminder that the camera is on, which is useful in long Teams calls :-)* The included mount sits nicely on top of a monitor and is secure. I have monitors with thin bezels so I used a couple of lumps of blutak to raise it up 5mm so it doesn’t overlap the screen.* It’s plug and play with current versions of Windows/Teams – no need for any software* The supplied remote gives useful functionality – you can digitally zoom and reframe the picture which is great on calls when you want to make sure your face is center frame, particularly if you tend to lean back in your chair like I do on long calls, and lean forward when things get interesting – you can do this with the remote out of shot so it doesn’t look weird to others on calls* the adjustable exposure is useful – I have natural light coming in from a window to one side and so sometimes auto exposure underexposes the other side of my face – so being able to adjust is helpful – you can also mute mic and and camera via the remote (in Teams this will display a black screen with an image of a camera with a line through it to others when muted).* in terms of video performance, it is equal to or slightly better than the Logitech c920, doing 1080p at 60 FPS, compared to the Logitech’s 30 FPS. The autofocus is just as good. Note I have not tested the microphone’s noise cancelling vs the Logitech as I use a separate mic.The upshot is I’m keeping this one for me as a professional who spends multiple hours / day on video calls with customers who is looking for a professional experience, and I’m donating the Logitech to my daughter.10/10 would recommend – several other folks in my team have since bought these.

Great PC camera
This is a great camera for those online meetings. It has a light (adjustable colour and brightness) so you can brighten your face. A zoom feature so you can be closer or further back depending on preference and a manual lens cover so no one can watch while you are offline. The picture quality is excellent and it attaches easily to the top of your monitor no down sided really. I suppose you could ask for Bluetooth but that would be real picky…Highly recommended!

High Quality and Great Value for Money
I purchased the Vitade Streaming Webcam with light and remote a couple of weeks ago to use for work, as an upgrade to the built-in camera on my Surface Laptop.So far, the Vitade unit has been excellent with crystal clear imagery on video calls and the fully adjustable light has been fantastic at removing the shadows my built-in camera was struggling with.I have habit of standing up and moving about on video calls and the remote control has been invaluable in allowing me to zoom in and out and up and down and even shut the video streaming if I needed to.Setup was very very simple and took less than 2 mins to connect up, and the built in USB cable is long enough and even comes with USB to USB-C adaptor if needed.Highly recommended and haven’t found a downside yet !!!!

Positively surprised.
The camera (MSI Summit) on my notebook is very good, but this one, the quality is even better. Clear images, excellent autofocus, in short, my videos and video calls have advanced to another level.

Great webcam for Rasberry Pi
I wanted a decent webcam for my 3D printer as most donât focus well and low light but then I found this one. I use a Raspberry Pi with Octoprint / Obico and it just works fantastically. Loved the fact it had its own built in adjustable ring light to save me using another light sauce. Fits in a tripod and does timelapse videos well. Sure it works even better on a PC/Laprop especially with the remote control which you can adjust zoom, turn off mic and video etc.

In summary, I would buy a different camera next time. I got this on Prime day for ~38 GBP.> PictureThe picture is OK, but not great. I don’t think it is 1080p.The camera is advertised as 60fps, but looks more like 20fps… disappointed there.> AutofocusIn Windows the autofocus goes bananas – even the slightest move triggers it, and it constantly refocuses.In Mac it works fine, not overzealous and focuses well. It only refocused when you move a lot.> MountThe mount is pretty good – it seems to be able to mount at most angles I want it to on any monitor I try it on.> RemoteNone of the zoom and pan buttons work on the remote if you are on Windows.Everything works find on Mac.> Ring LightYou can’t really rely on it as your main light-source, but it will but a bit of flare into your eyes if you are sitting in front of it.
