Seems to work exactly as expected.
Plugged in, found immediately by the Alexa app and now it just works. Only been using it for a few days, but it seems ideal for what I needed.

Connect via Alexa app, not per instructions
Seems to be working well, once I eventually got it connected, and thanks to the other reviewers who mentioned connecting it directly through the Alexa app rather than an Echo.Hereรขยยs what I did: opened Alexa app; Devices; + (top right); รขยยAdd deviceรขยย; รขยยPlugรขยย; รขยยOtherรขยย; รขยยBluetoothรขยย; make sure light is flashing on plug (hold on/off button for 5 seconds); รขยยDiscover devicesรขยย.The app found the plug and I was able to rename and set up my routines for it.4 four stars due to the fact that trying to connect via my Echo (and per the instructions) only found the plug with the Alexa app then just telling me the device was unresponsive. I was about to return it when I read the other reviews saying to connect directly through the app, which was also far easier.Follow the steps above and hopefully it will be easier for you too.

Simple but functional
I got this so I could control some USB fairylights with Alexa and also add them to automated routines and it works perfectly. I was a little concerned that it would be a nightmare to set up but it was one of the quickest and easiest smart devices I’ve set up!

Faulty… tried in multiple usb ports and it didn’t power on. So will be returned.

Only works if directly plugged into an Alexa device
I wanted to use this to control USB powered devices around the home, but it can only be used where there is already an Alexa present (as it needs to connect directly to the physical Alexa device).Another useless device to sit in one of my many man-drawers until I find a use for it.

Ohne Amazon Eco nicht zu gebrauchen. So wie im Artikel beschrieben das es auch Manuell geht ist nicht korrekt. Ohne zusรยคtzliche Apps oder Amazon Eco ist das unbrauchbar. Schade das mann es nicht einfach manuell ein und ausschalten kann . Hab mein ganzen Nachmittag ruiniert um das Ding irgendwie zum laufen zu bringen ( keine Schanze) Ist dann auch im MรยLL gelandet

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Returning this product. Can’t connect after pairing to Alexa. Won’t turn on devices and shows “Device Unresponsive”. If you’re going to make a product to work with Alexa, it needs to work.

Added to a LED Batman light in my sonรขยยs room. Paired with Alexa he is able to turn it on/off with his voice since I ran the wire through the wall and the switch comes out again behind his nightstand which is hard to reach. Because it is paired with Alexa, I am also able to set it on a routine where it comes in automatically at sunset and turns off again at sunrise to give him a nightlight in his room when he sleeps. I wish the price point was a bit lower, but since it was the solution to not being able to reach the switch easily, the price was ultimately worth it. I ended up ordering one for my other sonรขยยs bedroom for the same purpose with his led light as well
