    Brilliant
    Brilliant, was using pliers to strip wires before. This thing has saved me hours and does it perfectly every time without removing any of the actual wire only the sheath! You can adjust the gripping force which is very useful for thin delicate wires. (24 gauge in my case)Only criticism is with thin wires the sheath is not always ejected from the tool, after several wires there can be a build up that you have to poke out.

    Regret not buying this sooner- it’s so good.
    Excellent quality product. I initially bought this for one specific job and thought I wouldn’t need them again for a while. But since then, I’ve found myself using it over and over again.The build quality of the product is solid and it has a nice smooth action. It’s really easy to use. Works really well at stripping and cutting cables. I no longer use the Stanley knife method of stripping cables as this is so much quicker and easier. I’ve used it for various gauge cables and found it works well on all of them. The handles and ergonomic design make it really comfortable to use too- where have you been all my life?! Buy one, you won’t regret it!

    Needs a couple tries
    It takes a little bit of luck in my experience to get a good strip. There are some wires, particularly very soft flex 1mm^2 with the soft insulation, don’t work at all in these. Anything however with stiff PVC insulation will strip. It often cuts into the copper or removes a few conductor strands. When this happens, I strip again. It never takes more than 3 or 4 tries to get a good one. I find a snap of the wrist works well, although what does not have any effect is turning the adjusting screw. I have stripped cables as large as 10mm^2 with this device.If I were an electrician I think I would keep looking for a wonder-tool. As I’m a DIY person I find this incredibly handy and I use it all the time in my wiring work.Now on to the other features in this stripper…1. The cutter. Well it is a real blade, but it is not my favourite cutting tool. If I want to make a careful cut, it’s an awkward movement to get it in behind the grip of my hand. For a quick cut-off, it works great.2. Insulated crimper. This crimper has one jaw/die for all three yellow, blue and red. I have only used this on yellow. Now I will tell you I have zero skill with crimping, and this tool is not a crutch by any means. About 15% of my insulated crimps either make a crunching sound upon pressing closed, or they pull out after I gave what I thought was a reasonable pressure. So, if you want technical crimps I would look elsewhere. I am currently shopping for a higher quality insulated crimper (hopefully one that impresses confirmation dots)3. Non-insulated crimper. I have tried to crimp MC4 connectors, and none have been successful. This is almost certainly down to technique (the connectors turn instead of curl along the crimp guides).TLDR, makes a simple matter of stripping wires up to 10mm. Leave enough length for re-cutting and 3 or 4 tries. If you are buying this for crimping, think hard about what terminals you need to crimp, and get a more specialized tool.
